Popular American singer, Davido Adeleke, is officially a global brand ambassador for PUMA.

The sportswear manufacturing giants announced Davido as their ambassador on Friday, the 17th of December, 2021.

Puma’s General Manager Johan Kuhlo issued a statement explaining the decision of the company to make Davido a brand ambassador.

He said;

“We could not be more excited to welcome Davido to the PUMA family!. “Throughout our history, PUMA has had strong roots in Africa, football and beyond. Signing Davido is both a clear commitment to Africa as a key market and a sign that African culture is becoming more and more relevant globally.”

Davido is expected to market the company’s Basketball and Football styles and revealed his excitement in a message on the Puma official website.

Lionel Messi has paid tribute to Sergio Aguero after the Barcelona striker was forced to announce his retirement from football on Wednesday.

Aguero made the move to Barcelona last summer in the hope of playing alongside his best friend in Messi, but contractual problems led to the Blaugrana’s all-time record goalscorer departing the club for Paris Saint-Germain.

In his message for Aguero, Messi highlighted the way in which they have become close friends and enjoyed some good moments on the pitch, like winning the Copa America with Argentina.

The 33-year-old was emotional in his press conference at Camp Nou, Barcelona on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021. This is where he confirmed that he will retire from the sport. Aguero was substituted in the 33rd minute in a La Liga game against Alaves in October 2021 after receiving medical help on the pitch to treat the chest pains.

This year's event was held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, on Monday, the 29th of November 2021.
