Romance / How Love Letters Are Being Written In Those Days... Feel Free To Add Your! by Okpore101(m): 9:26am On Oct 13, 2017 |
All of you pretending you never wrote love letters in high school, I dey look you with binoculars... Oya, see samples of your letters... Lmao HOW SCHOOL BOYS USED TO WRITE LETTERS TO GIRLS IN THOSE GOOD, OLD DAYS! G.M.M.C YOLA P.O. BOX 2013 29TH JAN. 1979 DITTOMATIC Dear Sweet, Time and ability plus double capacity has forced my pen to dance automatically on this benedicted sheet of paper. I hope you're swimming in the wonderful pool of Mr. Health over there, if so, doxology! I am also perambulating in the cool breeze of wellness here. Sweetie pie, the reason why this miraculous thing is happening is because, honey, I love you spontaneously, and as I stand horizontally parallel to the wall and vertically perpendicular to the ground now, I only think of you, since you are a fantastic and fabulous girl, put together as fantabulous. I implore you to decipher this my anthem of love oozing out from the innermost pendulum of my thoraxial cavity. Darling, please stop haranguing with the feelings in my heart because I love you more than a snake loves rat. To me each day I start by dreaming of you. Each time I see you, my metabolism suddenly halts and my peristalsis goes in reverse gear. My medulla oblongata also ceases functioning. Crazy, crazy, crazy you may say but this is verily veritable. If only you knew what is going on in my encephalocele, you would prostrate. That's why I need to see you vis a vis soon for a better elucidation through tete a tete. No hyperbole & onomatopoeia, simple candidness. Only you and me are protagonists in this subtle affair. As I cogitate and ruminate over the last episode, I genuflect before the Omnipotent and implore him to let this affair emulsify. By the way, I was bamboozled, scintillated, exhilarated, and left in a state of prolonged euphoria by the contents of your missive which was quite edifying and exalting. It left my bio-chemistry in a paradise-like equilibrium. Empirically speaking, I love u chemically... I don't ever want to see gloom and doom looming over your angelic live portrait. Let my appellation be scribbled across your heart, with indelible ink. If any boy tries to ask for your companionship, tell him that u are leased and caveated. I think I have to pen off here, because I still haven't finished studying electrolysis polymerization. But before I evaporate, I like to revitalize your memory with those encapsulating lyrics which proclaim that your catarrh is my butter, your piss is my mimbo, the world's greatest lover is me. Catch you later. Sleep tight and don't let those bed bugs bite you because you are too sweet for them. Goodbye for now. Your slave in love, your pillow, your cushion, Ramson Cool |

Politics / Tell Your Colleagues Who Want Biafra To Forget About It, Buhari Urges Youths by Okpore101(m): 7:10am On Sep 14, 2016 |
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday urged Nigerian
youths from the South East to tell their colleagues agitating
for the sovereign state of Biafra to forget about it even as
he enjoined them to remain focused in life, pursue their
dreams and reject those fanning embers of discord and
disintegration of Nigeria. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu. Buhari made the call when he received more than 100 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Daura Local Government Area of Katsina. The President, who received the Corp members at his residence in Daura, urged them to make Nigeria great again through pursuit of knowledge, patriotism and commitment to values that promote national unity. He pledged his unalloyed commitment to the unity and prosperity of Nigeria. President Buhari, who specially recognised those corps members from the Niger Delta and South-Eastern states serving in Daura, praised the vision of former President Yakubu Gowon in setting up the scheme in 1973. According to him, the scheme has creditably promoted national unity and cohesion by exposing young people to the uniqueness and cultural diversity of Nigeria. “I asked for those from the other extreme of Nigeria because I very much appreciate the NYSC scheme and whenever I see General Gowon, I always thank him for that.’’ Speaking specifically to corps members from the South Eastern states, the President said: “tell your colleagues who want Biafra to forget about it.’’ “As a military commander, I walked from Degem, a border town between the north and the east to the border between Cameroon and Nigeria. “I walked on my foot for most of the 30 months that we fought the Nigeria-Biafra civil war in which at least two million Nigerians were killed. “We were made by our leaders to go and fight Biafra not because of money or oil, because oil was not critical factor then, but because of one Nigeria. “So if leaderships at various levels failed, it was not the fault of the rest of Nigerians who have no quarrel with one another. “So, please tell your colleagues that we must be together to build this country. It is big enough for us and potentially big enough in terms of resources. “Those who work hard will earn a respectable living. I have seen this country, I fought for this country and I will continue to work for the unity of this country,’’ the President said. In his remarks, Mr Egbewumi Adebolu, the Corps Liaison Officer in Daura, thanked the President for the honour of receiving them and making their stay in Daura memorable. He said the youths strongly believed in the programme of the President to reduce unemployment and create jobs for more Nigerians. Adebolu thanked the President for his personal gifts of cows, bags of rice and cash to corps members in the community for Sallah celebration. |
Crime / Enugu Community Slams Herdsmen Over Alleged Missing 100 Cows by Okpore101(m): 6:59am On Sep 14, 2016 |
Enugu—Worried by the accusation emanating from one Alhaji Sodu,an Enugu-based Fulani herdsman who claimed over the weekend that three of his sons and over 100 cows were missing, an aftermath of an alleged attack by Aku community youths, the entire Aku Welfare Association Federated, AWAF, yesterday, disassociated the community from such nefarious activities. The union in a joint news briefing with all the traditional rulers of Aku community revealed that the purported attack did not take place within Aku boundary but instead, within Agu-Affa/Agu-Egede in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. Vanguard’s investigations showed that Alhaji Sodu has since reunited with his three sons. His allegation forced members of the community to scamper to safety over fears of reprisal attack. Monarch urges govt to enact law regulating activities of herdsmen Meantime, the traditional ruler of Unadu in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Okechukwu Agbaji, has asked the Enugu State government to enact a law to regulate the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the state. Agbaji said that the ban on night grazing by Fulani herdsmen in the state was not backed by any law, adding that the motion passed by the state House of Assembly to that effect had no force of law. He spoke during the New Yam festival of the community at his palace in Unadu, pointing out that at the time the government banned night grazing, he travelled to the near- by Akpanya community in Kogi State with members of his cabinet to sign agreement of friendship with the leader of the herdsmen to ensure peaceful coexistence with his people and the herdsmen, especially in respect of the ban on night grazing but regretted that the efforts did not deter the herdsmen from bringing their cattle to graze in the night at Unadu. “The state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwanyi asked all traditional rulers in the state not to allow their people to fight the Fulani herdsmen but to dialogue with them. “This is his policy as a peace loving governor. However, the government should work with the legislature and enact a law banning night grazing because the herdsmen are not observing the ban.” “On August 28, 2016, herdsmen brought their cattle and destroyed all our crops here. The also came to one of the churches at Ugwuogene and drank all their water inside the church when service was going on. The herdsmen have been looking for avenue to attack our people and you know we are at the border of both Kogi and Benue States. “Last week, a pastor in the Anglican Communion, at Obaka Unadu, ran to me here and complained that he came out to ease himself in the night and met some Fulani herdsmen sleeping with their guns and knives in the palour of his uncompleted building. Their mission is not yet known but this is provocative,” he said.[b]Enugu—Worried by the accusation emanating from one Alhaji Sodu,an Enugu-based Fulani herdsman who claimed over the weekend that three of his sons and over 100 cows were missing, an aftermath of an alleged attack by Aku community youths, the entire Aku Welfare Association Federated, AWAF, yesterday, disassociated the community from such nefarious activities. Crime / SARS In Kogi State Arrests 15 Relatives Of Former Governor Audu by Okpore101(m): 9:06pm On Sep 07, 2016 |
SaharaReporters has learned that the Special Anti-
Robbery Squad (SARS) in Kogi State have arrested no less
than 15 relatives of the former Kogi Governor Abubakar
Audu in one sweeping operation, according to a family
member. “The eldest of his sons Mohammed, as well as siblings and cousins have all been arrested” the source disclosed to SaharaReporters. In addition to them, a traditional ruler was also arrested and detained by the SARS team. The family source said that his relatives have been detained at the Lokoja police station in the capital of Kogi State. This family member also said that it was allegedly under the direction of the present Governor Yahaya Bello. Mr. Bello, through his Chief Press Secreatary Fanwo Kingsley, categorically denied being involved in any arrest of Mr. Audu’s relatives. “The Governor did not order the arrest of anybody. However, law enforcement agents are free to effect arrest when anyone infringes the Law. If members of Audu family run foul of the Law, they would not be spared just because they are members of Audu's family,” a statement provided to SaharaReporters said. SaharaReporters repeatedly attempted to contact the Kogi State Police command for comment but was totally unsuccessful. The Police Public Relations Officer did not take calls at the time and desk officers in Lokoja did not know how to call him. One officer suggested maybe trying to find their PRO contact information somewhere on social media. |
