Travel / Re: The Number Of Africans In The UAE Is More Than The Jobs Over There(photos) by olayanjuke: 7:11pm On Aug 31, 2022
It is well.
walkbrazil4k:
Shame on African leaders they have failed and it is normal for people to seek employment in Other countries but for Africans it is different, people are actually leaving because the leaders in their countries have failed them, it was not like this 10 years ago.

The number of Africans in the UAE is more than the jobs in the UAE and remember we also have people from other countries as well, from Asia, Europe, and North America working in the UAE.

The major problem Africans are having in the UAE is the visa agents that always tell lies to the people, they push them to Dubai with the promise of getting them jobs and at end of the day it would be all lies and there would be no jobs for anyone and many are left stranded and many can't even return home because of shame and debts they owe, Remember alot of people borrow money and even sell off their properties to travel, the moral of the story is, do your own research before you travel, always leave Nigeria with a work visa and overall stop traveling to Arab countries, just look at Sierra Leonean citizens in Dubai trying to get back to their country.

Their email response time is really terrible, i had to even message them on twitter before i got the CAS today
Edunrybaba:

UCLAN doesn't reply to mail on time. I've been dealing with this school for months now. You can send the mail though. And remember the only reason you'll be getting a refund is if there is a visa refusal evidence. Uclan ehn. Nevertheless, Pls focus and see if you can get your visa application and biometrics date in place for this week

Will send them an email. The POF is mature
DuBooVay:
So email them citing the late issuance of cas. Ask them for an extension, is your POf mature?

I heard priority processing is suspended
Edunrybaba:

Congratulations First off, because I know how long it takes to process the CAS letter. I am also currently processing uclan. Deadline for enrollment is 30th of this month. While deadline for arrival is feb 12th. Now if you priority is actually back in place. It's very much possible to meet up

Just found out deadline for arrival is feb 12th.

I already have proof of funds ready, how long is the application process without priority and also deadline for arrival is feb 12th in UCLAN.
oluseyidimeji:
Good evening, Priority Services and Super Priority Services for UK Visa have been suspended and no one knows when it will return.

Proceeding will be determined by your schools last day of enrollment and if you have the money required in the bank account as Proof of Funds for 28 days.

Answers to the above questions/points stated will help to determine if you still have time to meet up with all that’s needed.

just found out deadline for arrival is feb 12th.
DuBooVay:
You need to know the deadline for enrollment and arrival to the Uk. Very vital. But I am guessing if they just have you CaS today they should be flexible with resumption. Also, priority is temporarily suspended

Good Evening house,
Please bear with me, i have started from the 1st page and am slowly catching up. I need your advice, i just received my CAS today from UCLAN for January entry. Can i still start and finish the application before enrollment closes (I dont know which day yet) or do you advice i defer the admission. Paid the 4000 to get the CAS 10th of December last year. If you advice i go on, please i would want to plead with someone to indulge me and send me the summary of what to do. I am grateful to God that i can say i have already gathered all the money i will require for priority processing and other fees. Thanks and i am eargerly waiting for your replies.
PS: All i have paid is the 4,000

I forgot to add this, post your channel page link and we will all subscribe to it and if we are interested in your videos we will watch, share comment and like as we see fit. The idea is to help each other grow. Also post any questions you have on this page and i will try my best to answer them.

I created a channel that showcases videos on how to create, upload, grow, monetize youtube as well as software to use to edit, how to avoid copyright infringement and so many other tips.

Business / How Nigerians Can Make Money From Youtube by olayanjuke: 1:40pm On Oct 22, 2017
This is my first topic on Nairaland and i want to discuss how we can help each other to make money on YouTube. I also want us to use this platform to help each other grow in views and subscriptions.

Lets start with an introduction to youtube (for those who dont know). Basically YouTube is a video sharing and live streaming platform by Google (Alphabet Inc for those that know). YouTube instantly became a hit (back to back) for google and a lot of companies started to see it as a means of reaching more people globally through advertising on the platform. As a result of this google decided to split the money it gets from companies with content creators (also known as Vlogers, Youtubers etc), i will talk about this briefly as well.

Youtube opened up an alternative source of income for millions of people across the world, below is a link to the highest paid youtubers as of 2016
http://www.businessinsider.com/youtube-stars-who-make-the-most-money-in-2016-2016-12?IR=T/#no-9-tie-colleen-ballinger-5-million-1

The list above shows that developed countries who have constant high-speed unlimited internet are the ones mostly benefiting, enjoying and
raking in all the cash. What if i tell you that there are Nigerians making as much as $3000 monthly and that you can be a part of them. Check out the link below
https://socialblade.com/youtube/top/country/ng
This analysis is by Social Blade, the website gives an estimated earning range based on the channels view count, subscribers etc.

Mark Angel and Emmanuella is no. 6 on that list and they are cashing out big time, Social Blade estimates that they earn a at least $4,000 each month

Now to serious business
The basic idea behind a youtube channel is the content you want people to see, grow your subscription base and get a lot of views so you can start cashing out. But what will you post on your channel?? The answer is anything you want from tutorials on how to cook or grow yam, to fashion tips, to tech reviews, to comedy skits, to tutorials on how to draw, to tips on how to buy and sell, to how to dance one corner or even a post on your version of one corner. You get the gist the list is endless. The trick to growing on Youtube is to stick to a niche(topic) or a range of topics for instance if you are doing tech reviews, you dont have to stick to just phones, you can add tablets, usb drives, PCs, TVs etc. But if you are doing Tech reviews and the next thing people see is how to grow yam properly some people may lose interest in the channel. There are ways around this which i will be discussing later.

What i am hearing next is what Nigerians always complain about. There isnt sufficient data, this is not true some of us are always on facebook, snapchat, twitter and instagram watching videos, uploading videos. Some of us are also on Youtube watching videos (which is not in anyway wrong) but we can also upload videos for people to watch all we have to do is reduce the time spent on these social platforms and save the data for our own growth.

EVERY GOOD THING IN LIFE TAKES TIME SO PLEASE DONT GET UPSET IF YOUR CHANNEL IS NOT GROWING AT THE SAME RATE AS OTHERS.

I have talked so much but permit me to add this final comment. The other reason for this post is that i want us to help each other to grow. If you start posting now with 0 subscibers you may not get even 50 views in 3 months. Trust me i have tried it. But imagine if you have 10,000 subscribers when you post to your channel you could end up with 30,000 in weeks. There are certain things involved like the "new"
post advantage and so on but i will discuss that at a later time as well.

If you know more than i do please share your expertise on the topic and we will all learn from you.

Thank you all for taking the time.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by olayanjuke: 2:35pm On Mar 09, 2017
dupyshoo:
1. UK PCC is very straightforward. Check this link and follow the instructions on how to go about it. https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
2. There is no format, just ensure the letter is written on a letter-headed paper and contains the following info: job title, job start date, detailed duties and responsibilities, no of working hours per week, annual salary and contract type.
3. Why will you say the level of cooperation is lacking among Nigerians? I believe this is wrong as a lot of people spend quality time on this thread answering other people questions without anything to gain. With regard to creating step by step instructions, there are several existing blogs with step by step instructions. This link for example gives a lot of details. http://15miles.info/cic-express-entry/

One just has to google it to get the required information. The main issue is that a lot of people cannot be bothered to search for information. Even when the info was posted a page away, they will still ask the same question.

Thank you so much for the quick response. It is really appreciated. Knowledge is Power.

Good Afternoon all,
I am what you would call a silent follower of this forum and i would like to thank everyone who is contributing based on experience and knowledge. I have received my ITA (about two weeks now) and have also collected my Nigerian police clearance. I however need help with a few things and have finally decided to speak up.
1. How do i go about getting my UK Clearance
2. Can anyone help me with the format for The employment letter(i am referring to the letter that shows proof of employment claims)
3. Is there anyway one or more of us on this forum can gather and create a summary of the whole application process in PDF and then maybe create a link to it on dropbox. Afterwards if you have specific instructions you can come to the forum and your questions will be answered.

The last question is as a result of a post i saw that stated a serious level of cooperation between the Chinese and the same level of cooperation between the Indians but this level of cooperation is lacking among Nigerians. I would like to thank all the people who take their time to answer questions (including my own grin). God bless.
