abduleez1: Do you have any source for this? I'm asking because from what I read, after he signed permanently for Barca, his release clause were not specific. As such, the exact figures are not available to the public yet. |

We have a top level coach, the best academy players and a great atmosphere all round. I know Pau will take the shine but I was really impressed with Valle who played out of position and put on a show. Bernal 🤝 Casado.... I'm very impressed with everything but man I wish Araujo(I've forgiven him lol) was fit because this high line will fit him almost to a tee and also, I wish we could get a quality defensive midfielder. Flickball!!! |

Awesome01: I'm not happy that Fermin will be a secondary player but we're talking about one of the most injury prone players in bundesliga. I think Fermin will play a lot because he looks the most fit amongst Pedri, Dejong, Olmo(he's here already) and may be Gavi as we do no not how he'll perform after the ACL tear. Fermin can do a job on the left, right and AM. He'll play. This means Torre will be sold or loaned out. I just wish we spent that money on a duel winning machine like Merino or Weifer. I'm at peace with Olomo and will support him! Edit: on sales, everyone loves |

He's already here! I think the negotiatiions for Olomo is too advanced to be called off. I actually feel we've signed him already because of the agreed personal terms. Only thing keeping the deal is some few million euros which Barca will eventually pay. Fermin can back him up as a 10 and also as a Lw. He can also play whenever there's a need for rotation/rest or when he or anyone is injured. When tired of doing all this, he'll eventually leave like those before him. I also heard that Flick specifically requested for Olomo. I've made peace with this so I'm not particularly bothered anymore. With all that said, I wish we spent 60m on a quality DM though instead of a profile we already have in abundance but it's what it is. We meeuuvee!!! |

Gucciboy: All this one nah just distraction. Laporte the politician won't start the season without signing at least one shiny toy. Quote me after transfer window is over, Olmo is a Barca player. He'll join for sure but I won't mind if I'm very wrong on this! |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by oliverano: 1:45pm On Aug 01 |
People are blaming Deco but Laporte is the one calling the shots at Barca. He's aware of everything and that's a common knowledge. He's done well though but.... |

Awesome01: If there's a player that'll slow us down this season, it's Lewadoski. Man is completely finished. Yep, he'll score some goals here and there but it'll be net negative because he's done at this level. Came on Vs City and killed(in a bad way) the attack completely. Ire oooo |

andrewbaba44: I think we're basically saying same thing. I'll support him and hope he does well. He's a quality player and like Coutinho could play LW. My issue with him is his injury records which is extremely bad, like really bad. Almost Rosicky level when he was at arsenal. Time shall tell and I wish him well here👌 |

andrewbaba44: Olomo, I think we've signed him already. Nothing we can do other than to support and hope that he does well. His signing reminds me of the return of Fabregas who wasn't a necessity back then but since nah Lamsia we brought him back. Fabregas couldn't bench anyone(Iniesta Xavi, Busquet, Keita) and had to play F9 occasionally and then some games in a rotated midfield until Enrique sold him for Rakitic who was the better/required profile but not necessarily the better player. But like I said, it's Coutinho/Grienzman all over again but I'll support him. |

Taguchi: This is just the summary, he's never in a rush (Usain Bolt). He's more long distance with great endurance like (Mo Farah) If you engage, he's ever ready to battle till the very end. Nah you go run las las.... |

I know it's just a friendly and first real game so fitness level may be called in to question but Hector Fort was really roasted and showed a complete lack of positioning and application. He'll learn and I believe in him. Casado is a good player, Roque played out of position but he's not Barca level right now and should be loaned out. Flick 💪💪💪 1 Like |

BlewMahn: I think the owners of Lyon also own Botafago in the Brazilian serie A. In his latest contract signed some months ago, he'll join Botafago for a season and then join Lyon in summer 2025. He's a top baller... |

monerozi5590: Context is everything!!! Barcelona do not have money to sign players or should I say the margin to register them. Barcelona do not have a DM, and a quality Lw. Olomo is a known quality but very injury prone. He remains exactly what we do not need at this point. We're stacked in his position; Gundo, Pedri, Gavi, Fermin. If everyone is fit, Olomo will be shifted to the wing making him another Coutinho/Grienzman situation. Signing him is like Realmadrid signing another attacker or Barcelona signing another defender. The priority is clear. A DM and left winger. Olmo, although quality will be a redundant signing. When we signed Countinho, I said something similar and despite the fact that he did well initially but he failed because he simply didn't fit. Olomo although quality won't cut it here because of his profile but will perform in the first few months like Coutinho then fade. We'll eventually find it impossible to ship him out because of his pronesness to injuries and high wages. Olomo won't want to leave too and will be saying all over the media how he loves Barca. He's a quality player but not the profile we need at the moment. 1 Like |

Jodera: People are genuinely upset that Messi was not in that bus and you should know why. If he was there or even close to the bus when this happened, well, well... Thing is that there are people who till today still argue that he was in the bus but hiding. Reality is that, if he was there, this will surely not happen. It's a shame that it happened because they'll never beat the racial allegation battle. As such, they'll lose a lot of casuals as fans during international tournaments. To each, their own... 1 Like |

raumdeuter: What if Ronaldo won euro 2004? Won back to back UCL in 2008 and 2009, What if France didn't beat Portugal and they go on to defeat Italy in 2006 final, the goat debate would've been over before it started. if Ballack wasn't suspended may be Germany would've won the world cup in 2006. If Zidane didn't get that red, Canvaro wouldn't have a ballodor to his name. Too many what if, but honestly... For Yamal, Dembele leaving and Barca being broke was really key... 1 Like |

raumdeuter: You're very correct. The way he burst into the scenes, I always thought he was 16 going to 17 in 2004, just like yamal 16 going to 17 in 2024. I didn't recall he was already 18. The image of his early performance at Everton is still living in my head. But as a 16 year old, he was as good as yamal. That's the point I was trying to make. |

Realtord43: 16 year old Rooney was fire. If you watched him in 004, you won't be saying this lol. If he wasn't injured, May be, just may be England would've defeated Portugal then go on to beat Greece in the final. Rooney was that good at 16. Too many ifs on 16 year old Rooney but he was that good and edges yamal at 16 in my opinion. But the fact that yamal actually won the whole thing is something to write home about. He's very good too. Football is a team sports so anything can happen. 4 Likes |

Kimbeast: Adidas must farm engagement nah. Yamal is more Dimaria/Mahrez than Messi. The picture circulating around with him and Messi as a child is what Adidas is trying to farm engagement with. The real question is what would've happened if a 16 year old English player went to the Euros, scored a good goal Vs France, assisted a couple including one in the final and eventually winning their first trophy since 1966. If a 16 year old, now 17 was part of this team as a regular, he'll be immortalised forever in England. It won't be so for ESP because they're far richer than ENG in the trophy cabinet! 5 Likes |

Awesome01: I don't believe most of these articles on salaries though but....... Bartomeu was shit, but the image I have here is dominated by Laporta players.. Gundo, Ralph, Lewy, Garcia, Feran, Fati and even Pedri shouldn't be earning that much. I understand Kounde, he's absolutely world class and of the right age, always available, never injured. A typical Barca brand player. If this salaries are actually true, then this is on Laporte too. Eric Garcia shouldn't be earning that much. He's a very average player! 1 Like |
