Culture / Re: The Left Hand by omo07(f): 8:15am On Oct 27, 2007
because they think the left hand is dirty,
because it is "suppose" to be the hand used to wipe ur butt after using the restroom, lol

but its not only yoruba people, i know alot of older Nigerians of other ethnicities that think that way!
Culture / Re: Nigerian Diversity (bi-ethnic Nigerians) by omo07(f): 9:12pm On Sep 13, 2007

Culture / Re: Y Most African Doesn't Like It When People Say They Look Like African! by omo07(f): 3:53am On Apr 25, 2007
it really depends on the context in which the question is asked, if someone is trying to be an @$$, i won't be nice in my reply

but I seem to get comments on lookin african all the time, one day i was in library studying and this guy came up to me and was like are u african? I swear that was one of the most random, things and i was like ehh, yea well nigerian actually, but that was really an odd way to be approached,

lol

I look african, [nigerian, =D] and im proud, b/c thats what I am its my background, it identifies me,

and I am pretty, pretty
[lol if i do say so myself, ]

so no problems there!
=D

Food / Re: Wara by omo07(f): 5:02am On Jul 22, 2006
Bisiriyu:

@omo07. wara is not made from a plant, it's made for cow milk.

Wara is highly nutritious. I prefer it fried and soaked in stew i.e like meat. It brings out its nutritious taste. Try it.

ACTUALLY,
there is a specific plant that is used in process of making it, its call bum bum leaf or something like that, [don't know how it is spelled]

i know its made with cow milk BUT its not cow milk ALONE,

TRUST me when i last went to nigeria, my dad who loves wara so much, went to a farm to see how it was made, so he could make it fresh here, BUT since we don't have that specific plant in the US, we can't make it,

Health / Re: Pimples by omo07(f): 4:53pm On Jul 05, 2006
to my knowledge is doesn't bleach,
im sure u can find pro-active somewhere,

or maybe u can order it online,
Health / Re: Pimples by omo07(f): 3:33am On Jun 30, 2006
well i think i've naturally been blessed with really clear skin,

but i also drink alot of water, its good for your skin
eat things with anti oxidants like green tea and avocados
don't use to many random products, i suppose pro-active really works though
try hydrogen peroxide/hydrocortisone, on the dark spots

and try to see a doctor/dermatoligist
