Thanks for the info. Much appreciated

salford1:

Last time i did a background check on a job, i was required to get my signature verified at a post office. I think i also went with some photo ID docs.
I believe companies use different agencies. My spouse only had to fill her details online when she last did hers.

Since you moved the naira equivalent from ur Naira account just highlight that portion on the statement and write an explanation that the money was to purchase dollar from the parrallel market in order to have the POF in one account. If there is any chat beteeen both of you on this you can also attach.

Alternatively, the friend can do a gift deed and since the amount is a not up to 50% of the POF. Shouldn't be much of an issue even if its a friend. But I prefer the first option. Better to say it as it is and attach all the evidence.

Eitherway, there is no need to rush like bigfido said. Just calm down and make sure the application is in order.

Opotuniti:
@ Glitteringstar, Canadianfly, 40man, macstan, newmum, mumyjaygirls & other Seniors too numerous to mention.

Thank you for your guidance so far.
Got ITA around 11pm last night.
With your guidance, I have been able to gather all required documents b4 ITA except Statement of account.

I have 2 issues/ questions as I want to submit my application if possible tonight or tomorrow.

(1) Kindly send me the specific address the statement of Account is to be addressed to. I wish to get it 2day or 2mro.

(2) I am printing 2 statements, one from my US$ and the other from Naira. The challenge is that, in order to have a unified account for POF, I credited someone Naira expecting him to send me US$4700 to my dorm so as to complete the required funds for family of 5 in US$ & have a single conversion since that was where I had the bulk of funds.

When he sent it, he put the Remark - GIFT AND DONATION, meanwhile, when I sent him naira, I put PAYMENT FOR US$4700.
My challenge is this remark that he put. What can I do about it. He apologised as he said it was the default remark of GTB internet banking but apology cannot salvage this situation knowing fully well that Gift accepted by CIC is mostly from parents or siblings and would require deed statement.

PLEASE HELP A BROTHER, AM TOO CLOSE TO LOSE OUT

Just to add to this. It wouldn't hurt to read some of the professor's previous research and mention some of the things you gained grom their work and how you feel they can help you when sending your mail to them. I noticed i started getting responses from them when I started doing this. Some even gave me pointers on potential data sources, past research in my area, what can be improved or areas that should be considered which have been helpful. I should mention i applied mostly to Australian and New Zealand schools. Eitherway, it doesn't hurt to learn as much as possible about potential supervisor and their track records academically and supervisory wise. If they feel you are worth it, a lot would fight for you at the admission panel.

The major issue I've had so far is that most of them don't have funding for international students. But now that I have PPR shouldn't be an issue for Canada grin

salford1:

On webpages of schools, most professors would mention their areas of interest and contact details. Some would even give a brief summary of the current research they are working on. Prospective doctoral students approach lots of professor to maximize their chances. It is very similar to searching for a job since this positions are competitive. Some would not reply emails, some would not take students from outside the country, some prefer students from their home countries (they won't mention this though), some would gladly accept the student if they like the applicant's previous academic work and grades etc.

Hi all. I'm curreny awaiting COPR. Please does anyone have any idea what the prospect is for a Credit Analyst. I'm looking at Ontario but so far the jobs I've seen require one to be bi-lingual. I only have A2 DELF certificate in French which is quite basic.

I also don't mind if you have any information on other province. I'm looking at landing in April.

I got points for it and both parent's names were on our birth certificates.

If yours doesn't you can try to get other documents to show relationship. Furthermore, chances are your sister/ brother declared you as a sibling when filing for PR- so they will double check this information before confirming it as correct.

Algbenguze:
Guys, pls has anyone here successfully claimed the 15 points for having a sibling in Canada? If yes, did your birth certificate contain names of your parents?

For those interested in Accra VO processing time for COPR, there is a forum for it. Goodluck

Kontagious:

Just like the e-APr timeline where some have less than 20 days, and some as long as fopawon ... Same goes for post PPR. Some receive their passports back within 3 weeks while some wait 4/5 weeks + to get approval plus a little more delay before receiving PUM. Give or take, sending to receiving passports should not exceed 2 months I believe.

If you plan to stop working mid February and you have to follow your notice period, then you should have turned in your resignation by now considering you might have to wait a while before you have your passport back, that guaranty you seek.

It's rare to read a case of denial/rejection after PPR (if it exist) as that seems to be your fear.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate. The duties seem similar. I hope it doesn't matter that he works in a bank? The HR is still insisting management approval to deal for something that can easily be sorted. Also, what if he gets HR to state the NOC code in the letter while maintaining the current JD. would it also work?

Newmum0615:

Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants
looks likely but it's a tough call. Except HR is ready to word it similarly. I'm still looking though.

Please I would appreciate any help cos he has gone back to HR has suggested earlier and they are talking about management approval. As far as I am concerned its just a polite way of saying no.

Omomabo:
Hi all! Please ur help is needed. I'm actually asking for a friend. He has 2 yrs experience as a Value Chain Officer in a bank where he acts as a liaison between the market facing team and big telecommunications and cement firms to exploit the value chain opportunities in their processes. Pre-ITA he selected NOC 6235. However when he got his reference letter this was what was stated.

Job title: Collections and Value Chain Officer

1. Attending joint marketing calls with marketers
2. Signing on new Mandates for the bank to be a participating bank in relevant schemes by Telecommunication, Sugar, Flour and cement companies
3. Provide relevant background information, market intelligence and relevant government policy analysis to aid market facing team
4. Provide input into development of products that have high value proposition and unique market differentiation
5. Review existing products for continuous development
6. Regularly monitor performance of market facing units in the respective products in line with set targets

With this I am not sure 6235 still suffices. We have gone through the NOC codes and can't find which to use and we sent a mail to the NOC email but they gave us a standard response.

Please seniors in the house kindly help

No need to evaluate WAEC. Your highest degree alone should be sufficient.

quote author=marvel4love post=63187828]Hello everyone, Please I need assistance, I’m trying to do my WES evaluation, while creating an account it asked me to add my secondary school certificate for analysis and it’s also included in the last page of registration, Is it compulsory I send my WAEC Result for evaluation and will my BSC be evaluated without my WAEC result cos I can’t imagine going to WAEC office and asking them to send my result to WES. Please I need further explanation. Thanks y’all [/quote]

Hi all! Please i need clarification on something. I have a father in Canada but we haven't spoken in a while since he relocated there some years back. Because i can't get d document required to prove relationship to him i stated NO to the question asking if we have relatives in canada. So i didn't claim points for him

Post ITA i am being asked the same question and i responded no. However there is a portion where we are required to list all immediate family members not stated on the application. I think for background checks. Can i state his name and where he lives then write a letter of explanation to explain why i didn't claim points for him? Does it count as misrepresention?

Seniors in the house abeg help me
