Education / Re: Jamb Reducing/removing Their 40 Marks by OpalBee(f): 6:06am On Mar 19, 2016
Hope there's proof of the change of marks if not I think these kids are all lying...

Kids don't study anymore. Bring back paper and pencil exam and they'll still want to blame the paper and pencil for the bad results
Business / Re: What Eden1747(f) Did Not Tell Us About Her "Humilation" At ECOBANK Badagry Today by OpalBee(f): 9:32am On Jun 27, 2015
We all know some of these Bankers are so so rude so one might want to believe the story. But I wonder if a banker would actually call a customer a goat and also fling a bank card at the customer.... Hard to believe. There's no smoke without fire sha...

In other news, I had the operations head of one our Nigerian banks rudely inform me never to come deposit bad notes in her bank again that she wouldnt take it next time. I just don't know where they all get off trying to implement laws.

Denzel is just a true case of "some mothers do have 'em"

Didn't know if to laugh or just be worried about him during his DS!! But I do like his take on Klarkla and Ella

How about the so called "professionals" that hire "quacks" to sew. Experienced that...
Fashion / Re: Nigerian Tailors And Disappointment: Share Your Experiences by OpalBee(f): 1:38pm On Oct 20, 2014
Lol @ people's experiences. All tailors are just the same that I decided to go learn how to sew. Still learning so I can sew for just me...

Until then, I will just go and sew with a new tailor each time. At least being a new customer will make them want to please you. They tend to please you with the first two times you go to them afterwards, you will be "customer" that they can afford to disappoint.

Family / Re: TWO Years In Marriage!!! The Feeling, The Realization And Surprise. by OpalBee(f): 11:40am On Oct 20, 2014
Some really unreasonable comments/advices here. If you see or treat your wife as someone you did a favor by marrying her, how do you expect the marriage to work.

To the op and all other men in "similar situations", check yourself...maybe, just maybe it is you that's the problem. It's normal for we women to whine and complain. You really should be worried if your wife doesn't cos maybe she's getting her happiness outside of her marital Home and you wouldn't want that.

And please, if you are not married, you have no business dishing out advice IMO.

We women been whining and complaining since whenever!!

I'm a woman and married too. Some days, I sure do have downtimes...

Quick questions:

Do you help wifey around the house...those little things do matter. Yeah yeah...i know you go to work but I tell you staying at home is worse for any woman. I'm not working (not by choice) and I tell you I feel like I could go crazy staying at home sometimes (btw I have a degree from a foreign uni) ....

Just know the littlest gestures do matter. Like washing up the dishes after dinner (if you don't have a help, helping out with the kids...on a Saturday, if you're at home, stay with the kids and let her just take a few hours away from them....yes we love those little ones to bits but mommies need some "me time" too.

More importantly, have a sit down with wifey and talk things through. Come to certain agreements...etc... ( yeah, that's me and hubby, we do that e.g "I'll do this for you every day if you'll at least help me with that"wink

Sorry my thoughts are just all over the place...

*First time commenting here*

The eviction shows are kinda dry this year...and the people that performed plus people dancing out of tune!! I was confused. I thought my decoder or tv was bad.

It's better "reading" the show here sha...no time to sit and watch. Big brother is hell-bent on recovering cost and so we have this real crappy show.

IMO, the best Big Brother show ever was Big Brother Nigeria!!

Family / Re: Dealing With A Snoring Partner by OpalBee(f): 6:46am On Oct 15, 2014
Hubby snores..My 1-year old snores as well...I do nudge both of them a bit at night so they can change gear...

Some nights, I get some better sleep in the parlour before later joining them in the room. Their snoring isn't an issue if I'm exhausted though..

Sports / Re: Oscar Pistorius Found Not Guilty Of Murder by OpalBee(f): 8:38pm On Sep 12, 2014
I'm not a lawyer, don't care about how the justice system worked in this case, in my opinion, Oscar intentionally killed his girlfriend...But of course, who would want to think a disabled man like him would that.

I mean, you hear intruders in your home, the first instinctive thing any one would do is to make sure his or her loved ones are all safe and together. But No, Oscar just pulls a gun and shoots. Not once but four times (He intended to kill whoever was behind the door!)...

Advise to everyone out there, whatever sticky situation you're going through with your spouse, fiancé/fiancée, boy/girlfriend...anybody, Please please confide in someone who will tell your story should anything happen to you.

God help us all.
