Hello house, this is a great forum that address challenges in all sphere of travelling.Well done guys!!!
Please I have some questions that I want this great house to answer.
1.The question being asked,is it from the DS-160 form we filled during application?Do they get to have access to our applications we filled?
2.Our destination is actually Washington DC base on what we filled in our ds-160 but we intend to fly through New York JFK,is that a good ideal?
3.Should our return ticket corresponds to the days we are spending there because we are booking a hotel to that effect.
4.We intend to book the cheapest flight, but which one is advisable to book at this time, hearing the various experience people terms to face at the POE?The cheapest is Turkish Airline.
5.How much can one hold for PTA for a family of 4(Husb,Wife,Kids 1yr & 3yrs).Can dollar ATM card substitute the cash aspect?
6.What kind of items should one not go with?I intend to go with my laptop and phones

Hello great people in the house, pls I need your assistance. What are the likely questions to be asked at the point of entry and also documents which is Washington?I have a family friend that will be travelling with his family as a first timer.
Secondly,he intend to travel through either Turkish airline or Qatar airline depending on the one that is affordable for the family size which is 2 adults,1 child and an infant.Hope none of these airlines will raise dust at POE?
Also, during the interview which was done last year December,he told the VO that they were to travel before Xmas with the hotel already booked but he couldn't travel because he lost his father and he needed to stay behind for the funeral which is slated around second week of March. They intend to travel around May,hope this will not also raise dust at the POE?
How much is he suppose to hold as PTA being that he is going with his family?
Is it possible to change his destination to NYC were they can stay with a relative they know?

Hello house, please I want to know what went wrong in my Sister and her family interview they had in Abuja on the 19th of September. Here is the transcript:
VO: Good morning
Sis(Hub): Good morning
VO: Please pass your passports over
He passed the passports without the old one which carried his travelled history to Malaysia, though the new one carried South Africa visit
Sis(Hub):He passed the family passports to the VO
VO: What are going to do in the US?
Sis(Hub):For Holiday and Shopping
VO: Where do you intend to visit in the US?
Sis(Hub):To visit some tourist site like status of Liberty etc
VO: What do you do for a living?
Sis(Hub): I am a Contractor supply of building material
VO: Have you travel before?
Sis(Hub):Yes, Malaysia and South Africa
VO: What did you do in Malaysia?
Sis(Hub):I went for Holiday
The VO turn to my Sister and ask her question
VO: What do you do?
Sis: I own a beauty spot and a Boutique in Abuja
At this point, the VO was busy looking at the passport, contemplating between the white and pink paper to give them. Alas! he finally chose to give them pink paper.
On the form they filled, they stated that they earn 250k and 120k salaries respectively.
My questions is as follow:
What really went wrong with the interview?
What does the pink paper stand for?
Was it a mistake that he did not submit the old passport?
I will be very happy to get answer asap

Hello LadyG,in one of your reply in this forum, you somehow emphasis that travelling experience should not include Togo,Ghana and Dubai. Why these countries,is there something fishing out in these countries. Please I really want to know.

Thanks so much for that information. Does anybody have a clue of what the VO always type on the Computer.
Secondly, what do you advice as the best dress style for a family going for interview. Is it advice for the whole family to put on the same dress for the interview?
Thirdly, is it true that it will no longer be possible to schedule appointment in August

Thanks for that information. Please, is it possible to scan the copy of your documents you want them to see to them maybe via email and they will see it before your interview date? If it is possible, then what is their email address where they can see your documents.
Secondly, what effect does it have on your chances of securing US visa when you tell them that you have an Uncle that is inviting you than you booking a hotel for you and your family. Meanwhile, in your first attempt you already filled that you were been invited by your Uncle. Thirdly, apart from those other regular documents like marriage certificate, children's birth certificates, letter of introduction from your company, what other supporting documents can one go with if you are going with your family and my wife happen to be a business woman and a students of higher institution. What supporting documents can she come with for the interview?
Finally, how long will it take for your visa fees to become invalid if you have not yet schedule for your interview?

Maybe I should share my interview experience with you.I did it in March Lagos. Before it got to my turn, the lady in window 11 had already approved visa to two set at my front, one old woman who doesn't hear English and one lady with her two kids. After this time out she took a short break and after which she started with me.Here was the conversation
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning
VO: Could you pass your passport to me and the other forms(confirmation and receipt)
VO: What are you going to US for?
Me: For my annual vacation
VO: Do you have anybody there?
Me: Yes,my uncle
VO:What do you do in your place of work
Me: I am an Engineer who do......
VO: How much do you earn
Me: I earn 300k
VO: Are you married
Me: Yes
VO: How many kids
Me: Two kids
VO: Have you traveled before
Me: Yes,but not with my passport
VO: Where Port Novo in Benin
Mean while, she was busy typing on the computer while the conversation was going on.She just said "I am sorry you are not eligible for the visa" while she gave me the blue paper and said "this will explain the reason while the visa is not approve"
So,from the conversation, were do you think I erred.Though, facially looking I was already demoralise due to what somebody told me at the gate.He said if a red sticker is stuck on my passport, that means I would not be giving visa, and that was what I was given.I don't know how true it is?His experience was that for the two times he attended,he was given that red sticker and he was refused visa but when he went the third time with the blue sticker, they gave him. Please I want you to also throw more light on that color sticker that is placed on the passport

Hello everyone, is nice to be in this forum.Anyway, let me go straight to the point. I applied for US visa sometime in March this year without my family and I was refused visa. Though I went there with virgin passport without any travelling experience. During the interview, I told the VO that I have been to Benin without passport which I felt was not convincing enough. Now, I have little experience, I have been to Dubai and I intend travelling with my family to Ghana in August. I want to apply again in October with my family. What is my chances and what do you advice

Hello VO,I was interviewed in March but unfortunately I was denied in Lagos.Though I had no travelling experience and I did not apply with my family.I intend applying later this year with travelling experience and with my family.Though I will be staying with my uncle in the state who is sending a notarize letter as an invitation.
My question is from my status of applying with my family and travelling experience, has my status change?
