And the same Minister of Health Ali Pate being desperate to stop Nigerian Nurses from migrating abroad migrated abroad to work before returning back to Nigeria because of political appointment and all his children are abroad studying and working.

I'm studying in Benin republic, I made it clear to myself that I have no ties with Nigeria after my graduation, I will relocate to Europe and live in peace. I wasted years serving in the military for a country that doesn't care. I regret that . Nigeria will keep loosing its talents. After studying here then i should go and expect 21 usd as minimum wage. I rather live in Benin republic forever.

Well, I sleep most of any flight anyways. My normal routine... once the plane begin to move, I pray, once the plane is airbourne and stable, I position myself to sleep with my ears plugged and face covered, I only wake up to eat, see a movie until sleep comes calling again. I no get time to dey raise my blood pressure unnecessarily.

This will be waste of resources because they'll still fly abroad for medical treatments.

Except for the sole purpose of scholarship abroad, high scores in Nigeria is tantamount to penury. It thwarts your creative and business abilities. You’d think of nothing but to compete with your mates while the average students harness their energy into creative thinking and business ideas while in school. These average students make fortune before anyone after graduation. Quote me anywhere, in Nigeria, your certification is bullshyte.

My take: give your best while you think of creative ideas to maintain you during and after school. Beyond school, what will matter is your social influence and that of your family OR whatever you might have built for yourself as an undergraduate!

Please people avoid Benin republic private universities, most of them aren’t accredited, I finished from one, I couldn’t do Wes for Canada or apply for German university scholarship or any scholarship at all.... pls y’all should avoid Benin republic private university!!!!!!!

There's nothing like MSc. Med lab. There's only MSc in one of the specialties. And that doesn't grant you license to practice in the medical laboratory. That 18 months program has been scraped off many years ago. You'll have to go back to school and get BMLS for you to be licensed.

Thanks boss. Msc immunology will be my choice. Will be better for me. I will run it in canada or Ireland. Only Africa disregards microbiologist. I'm not staying here after studies boss. I'm running my bsc abroad. I have gone for that already 🙏

Better ignore whatever you read there. They are 99% incorrect. You are better off going for medical lab and specializing in Microbiology, there is no conversion program again. Even with Msc in medlab as long as you don't a BMLS you are not recognized as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. There is no microbiologist job posting a medical lab scientist in Medical Microbiology specialization can't apply for. But the other way round does not apply most times.

I want to go into research bro. I will do my masters abroad so that one can secure a job there

It is myopic to think medlab is more lucrative than microbiology.
Microbiology has better opportunities because it is broad and all encompassing. It doesnt limit you to a hospital laboratory like med lab.
You have so many branches of microbiology to choose from like medical, industrial, marine microbiology, virology etc just name it. whereas med lab limits you to just one choice.
Secondly with your Bsc microbiology you can just do the 18 months med lab program and you switch to med lab and you will always be their boss that is why they have so much hatred for microbiologist. But med lab cannot convert to a microbiologist.
