I've not watched the full video but Chauvin was guilty of excessive force. If he hadn't placed his knee on Floyd's neck for so long, he won't be blamed for his death. That's the koko. It was excessive and unnecessary force.

I don't have a pint of pity for Chauvin. It could be my neck tomorrow and the racist would turn a deaf ear to my plea. It could even be your own neck. He should be locked away.

I urge you to reserve judgement till you've seen the whole video. It was definitely not a racist act, bad policing? Yes. such can't happen to me, I'm not a criminal ,it won't be my neck, he wasn't arrested for being a law abiding citizen, I agree he (Chauvin) should be locked away .
I can also assure you that with the interraction Floyd had with the police that day the result would have been the same if Chauvin was a black police officer.

Did you know they've successfully aressted him (Floyd) and put him in the back of the car?
Did you know he (Floyd) begged them to be put on the floor?
Did you know that he has been saying he couldn't breathe before they even cuff him?

Try and watch the whole 40+ interraction and think of how you will react if you were one of the police officers.
That they spent 40+ minutes trying to put an unarmed man to the back of the car should tell you they dd all they could do to de-escalate

I have seen the whole interaction, no way anyone will convince me it was a racist attack. Bad policing? Yes.

Yes boss. GF could have had a bad past, but went to jail and served for his crimes. Cops don't have the right to murder people. Chauvin got a trial. Floyd didn't. Chauvin could appeal the decision, if he didn't get a fair trial. Floyd can't. That's the point of today.
It was an easy trial for the Jury. Chauvins lawyer struggled. It's like trying to defend something that's impossible to defend.

Supervisory officers already testified that, even if Chauvin pinning Floyd with his knee fell within policy, doing so for 9 minutes, 29 seconds did not. They said Chauvin held the position for four minutes after Floyd lost consciousness — and two minutes beyond when he no longer had a pulse..hence excessive force.

Thanks for the detailed analysis cos it’s very important for a trained personal if indeed kneeling on ones neck is actually permissible at certain times. The time duration alone shows a whole different motive or Smtn seriously wrong.

You are welcome. Even the defence counsel struggled. It got to a point the cops lawyer was hoping and wishing for a mistrial (hanging on straws). It was an easy case for the prosecutors. The video recording already did the bulk of the job for them.
