Openedheavens: After going through the process of securing an ITA I have come to realize that proof of funds is the least problem for most people. Transcript evaluation, age advantage/disadvantage and language exam is the major challenge people face. Of recent the suspension of all program draws have also been a cause of concern. I suggest you focus on these to secure a crs score above 470. After ITA you'll have three months to sort out your pof. No harm in also saving/accumulating from now 2 Likes |

Openedheavens: Don't sell your car yet except you have an investment/business you want to put the money in. Car is a necessity for a family man. Another option would have been to downgrade to lower end car, but you don't know the history...you might spend more than expected. So, find a way to raise the 500k and hit the ground running. All you need for now is WES, Passports and IELTS...if limited on cash, evaluate yours and Wife, then both of you should write IELTS. You will only need passport for kids after ITA. So, you can pend till then....but remember, passport booklets dey finish for Nigeria- if you have money get Kid's passport earlier 1 Like |

Abdomox:Thanks so much, you don't know how this has helped. I went out to the market just now to get foodstuff and trust me, I can't survive without a car. I will go to school this week, to go start my transcript processing. Medicine processing is a bit different as evaluation is not done by WES but the medical body. I already opened an account with the medical body for my credentials evaluation for $304. And each credential evaluated costs about $145. Considering cost, do I need to evaluate my certificate too for the purpose of express entry? Or will only my transcript suffice? 1 Like |

Michaelshow: Please start from reading from Page 1 here: https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled When you've spent about a day reading from Page 1, you will understand the process. As a summary, estimate what your CRS score will be here: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp 1. Evaluate your OND and HND with WES 2. Max out IELTS General. Aim for 8777 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking respectively. The higher scores you get the better. 3 Create an Express entry profile. If your Express entry CRS score is higher than the cutoff score for that period, you get an invitation to apply for permanent residency. Again, read from Page 1 here and you will have a better understanding of how Express entry works - https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled |

JIREN01:Thanks guys, I'm very grateful. One last question. I was surfing the CRS calculator and I discovered my 28 year old wife could also be the leading applicant (incase age catches up on me before the ITA) only if she has 2 or more certificates. My wife is a radiographer with post graduate certificate in ultrasound scan which was only a 2 weeks course. Firstly, will this 2 weeks course be evaluated as an additional certificate? Also, how much will I have to pay WES for this since I will be sending her certificate, transcript and the post graduate certificate? Cc: abdomox , abnot |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 2:22am On May 03, 2021 |
Well, since she's younger, she's better off being the PA. I doubt if a 2 weeks course would surfice or pass for a canadian equivalent, I may be wrong though. However that was why I suggested any of the other professional certifications she can give a shot (ACCA, BCS, CIMA). She can take any of these and evaluate as a two or more certificate. Nb: You ain't sending your certificates, you'd only need to upload a scanned copy on your Wes profile or any other evaluation body you use. And as for the price, it might vary due to dollar rate, I did mine early January and it was about 83k for my two or more certificates evaluation. Openedheavens: |

Naughtyvirgin:Alright, thanks . Although I'm still at advantage of being the primary applicant, until I become 31 by November, I only want to plan ahead incase of the unforseen. |

The truth is no one knows when the FSW draw would start again. Assumptions are only being made that it could likely start again by July or even before then, but in all, it pays to be in the pool before then just incase by chance the score line gets lower than usual. I think I've read on here where two profiles were created by a particular couple, the wife as the PA in one and the other the husband was the PA. So you could both try that while trying to set other things aright.. Openedheavens: 1 Like 2 Shares |

Thank you very much for your Swift response.I have read through almost the requirements and processes for applying. Pls I would like the know if since I have my BSc certificate and certified true copy of my transcript from my school. Do I still need to go through by school for them to forward my transcript and cert to Wes or I can go ahead and scan these academic doc to Wes. Also do I need to scan both my cert and transcript or transcript alone. Thanks Naughtyvirgin: |

ahmedgafar7:Hi, NYSC certificate isn’t required but of course you should have served before becoming a licensed pharmacist. They require receipts of LETTER OF GOOD STANDING and CURRENT ANNUAL LICENSE RENEWAL, and your application letter for letter of good standing/licensing statement. Hope this helps. |
