I make over 350k per month from Upwork. That's not much because that's only $750. If you're serious and good at what you do, you can make up to $5k. I know what I'm saying. 19 Likes |

Meklex:That's great! I think the problem that is common to every freelancer that always complains is laziness. You must always be online and also try not to miss a chat for instance on Fiverr and you reduce sleeping all night. Creat heart-blowing gigs. Moreover, don't forget God in your equation. Remember you are not the only one on the platform. #Be prayerful and offer excellent jobs whenever the opportunity comes. 12 Likes |

I resigned from my job to work as a full time freelancer. Been making nothing less than 500k/mo since last year and my life has changed. I'm into video editing/motion graphics/animations. You need to up your game and make yourself competitive. Ditch saturated fields and ensure you send proposals till you get a job. As a newbie, it's hard to break in but once you do and can satisfy your clients, you won't have to be sending so many proposals again. Also, ensure you have stable electricity ( solar inverter strongly recommended), fast internet and a good laptop. If not, you'll be missing deadlines due to NEPA wahala. Upskill! There are thousands who can write, do graphics design etc... I personally also prefer Upwork to Fiverr. On Upwork you get gigs from big companies who pay well compared to individuals that pay peanuts on Fiverr. Stopped using Fiverr since last year. 22 Likes 1 Share |

Premiumwriter2: This defeatist mentality is unhealthy. Imagine giving up on a great job market because it's competitive—na wa o! The jobs popping up ARE AVAILABLE, and you can't win them if you don't apply (or get invited to apply). Hightser: There are Nigerians there (living in this same Buhari-run Nigeria) making millions monthly. Hightser: Park face go where? You need reassurance of big pay when you don't even have experience? You're not ready. 10 Likes 1 Share |

It's a fun journey. I started my freelance career some 5 years back. You have to be consistent. Trust the process also. There are good clients and there are the bad clients. Treat all clients equally as they have the potential of bringing numerous new clients your way. I didn't have to use my Bsc certificate because freelance is paying VERY WELL. 15 Likes |

Hightser:Another thing that you can do is, have some sample of your works stored on google drive, approach companies, pitch to them with a link to your sample works.... They will contact you IF there is need. Now, if you manage to get one client, do a fantastic job and after that, tell him to recommend you to other companies. This is important and makes your work easier to get clients. 10 Likes |

I won’t say I make a lot on upwork but I do make more than the average job seeker. 300k ish monthly- I write so there are a lot of us. Trying to get into UX and UI to make it 7 figures. I will tell you one thing. The first few jobs are the hardest at least on upwork- once u crack the code of getting the first few jobs and ur Jss score reaches a nice number. Jobs will start coming in freely. 5 Likes |

Park face go where? You need reassurance of big pay when you don't even have experience? You're not ready. [/quote] This got me laughing tho it's not funny. Freelancing pays only if you shift your gaze from the monetary gains first and improve better on your skill and experience. 1 Like |
