I believe that someone implied that stuff like that - amongst other things - must've impacted him in one way or the other. Do not forget, the guy is still very young.

Anyways, CHO will probably get his chance this season. Apparently he's in the best shape of his life, the mood in the team is better than ever, and he seems to be working on himself character-wise so there are no more excuses. If he still fails to live up to expectations or deliver consistently when called upon, then they can do anything they want with him.

Well, my own take is that the way people(players) responds to serious injury differs psychologically. There are some that might hit the ground running immediately they come back, some might take sometimes later than others. But any player that takes years and still claim it is injury either is weak mentally or is simply not talented enough (except the case of ACL injuries).

I see Owen as someone who has a weak mentality(the former) and belloti as Someone who isn't talented enough(the latter).

As for Odoi, he still young and have time on his side.

The champions league triumph last season covered how disastrous our league campaign was despite spending a lot for that useless Lampard. We had to beg for 4th on the last day of the season.

The fact that Liverpool with all their injury concern and problem still finished above us is not talked about enough. Last season league campaign was a disaster.

Owen had 2 or 3 injuries each lasting about 3 months as well as several 4-6 week injuries as well as a 10 month injury all by age 27. His hamstring was gone by 25 and his knee followed shortly after. No hamstring no change of pace, no knee no change of direction.

Belloti’s longest injury lay off was about 1 month. He also never suffered any of the catastrophic injuries like a ruptured ACL (Michael Owen) or a ruptured Achilles’ tendon (Odoi). Those are potentially career altering injuries.

Last I remembered, you entered the last match on the season against Aston villa at 3rd, meaning top 4 was in you guys hands and not the other way round.

When tuchel came around, you guys was drifting badly away from top4(even 3points above struggling arsenal) but tuchel came and turned things around and losing just 2 matches and finally finishing 4th. You didn't see the progress in what tuchel did(which was more important) but you're holding onto the regress lampard did(which was unimportant at season's end).

Unlike most of you guys here, I know how to access a player without any atom of bias. I know the qualities I look out for in a player as regards to his position.

Odoi's dribbling is average, has poor judgement and his shots lack accuracy. These are qualities that differentiate good wingers from average wingers. I will be honest, I don't rate Odoi... I doubt he will prove me wrong

If my memory serves me right, Odoi got injured trying to control a high ball which he failed to. Such disappointing first touch was a red flag.... Technically gifted players do that with ease.... Never mind getting injured trying to the it

Ribery, Robben, Kane etc got injured quite often too but that didn't them. Talented players don't need litany of excuses to make a case for them. They just came back and continue playing.

A player whose career declined at 23 is not someone I should be discussing about.

Odoi's form is my problem and now Pulisic. The former I suspect isn't talented and the latter apparently has a fragile mind

Only people or chelsea fans with bias/sentimental mind will see last season's league as a failure, considering the impact of tuchel.
