They actually have it all planned from the start.

Like, How do you explain why they would want to take pics with a man of God for all to see? What are they trying to prove?

People are attracted to very high interest rates. 10 - 20% per YEAR interest rates are too small for the kind of people that falls for ponzi.

I'm telling you....

People are spreading malicious rumors that banks (gtb, access) and fintechs (piggyvest) invested with the doom Ponzi scheme but those were just the lies that the marketing agents of the IMG scheme used to sell their "investment" to unfortunate punters. They told people that so and so has invested one billion and people believed and invested on that basis.

As this one de happen, another one de plan to open next year, another set of investors go still line up to put their money inside.

If you read the writ of Piggyvest, they never explicitly denied having invested funds in that scheme. They only claimed their clients funds were not used / are secured which is different. I would have expected them to make it very clear they did not invest in that scam at all, what they did not (yet).

Lol, this guy funny. When did they claim that?

Ordinary whatsapp status made u believe they invested. That same whatsapp status also mentioned gtbank. Did gtbank bulge? Does that mean gtbank invested?

If the rumour was from a verified source, both piggyvest and all companies mentioned would explicitly refute it.

Are you serious at all?

I always doubted Piggyvest or GTB and other institutional investors invested from the onset, which I have even explicitly expressed here in my first post on this topic.

Have you not read the official communication of Piggyvest on this topic ?

Some of you just argue for argument sake.

The official communication of Piggyvest said, customers funds are safe. You don't expect them to refute unverified whatsapp status that they might have not even seen by then.

Don't add or subtract to what they said and dont assume.

There are claims that Piggyvest actually invested 2 Billion Naira in IMG, Piggyvest holds funds of over 70 Billion Naira, so it won't affect them that much, if look at the chat closely between the CEO and the Lady, the CEO never refuted the fact that he invested, he only claimed that they enforce risk mitigation strategies and that investors funds are safe, HE NEVER REFUTED THE FACT THAT THEY INVESTED

Also, IMG account was under scrutiny and that's where they saw that Piggyvest sent 2 Billion Naira to the account because it was no paid in cash but electronically

Piggyvest does not work like your traditional Mutual Fund, you can never know what happens behind the scene, there is no regulatory body that enforces them to show their books or follow some due process

Cowryrise is different, Cowryrise only serves as a proxy to invest in regulated Mutual Funds like Meristem, ARM etc although they have other packages too

grin grin grin Why communicate on it if they have not seen it. Read yourself. They answered the rumors without addressing the core of it.

If you want to ignore the rumor, ignore it.

If you want to address it, address it totally.

The fact that they did not clearly specify whether they invested in it or not, signifies it remains a possibility.

By the way other institutional investors adressed the issue and indicated clearly they did not invest in it.

They were investigating IMG and they saw the transaction, they have no reason to lie, they saw all the transactions that were made, including that of a popular church, they have no reason to lie, however, you can believe what you want, I will go for proper investment houses that are properly monitored

As emmanuelewumi will say return of investment is better than returns on investment
