hello guys, Please how else can I buy a flight ticket directly online with my naira debit card? Since the herculean restriction on online naira to USD transactions, this has been a problem |

Pls can you help with a mail I can ask them this question? Also, if they say a decision has been made, what does that mean? How many more days would it be before it's returned? If they say no decision made and I go ahead and tell them to return the passport, how long would it take for me to get it back? Also, if you don't mind, can you help with a draft of how to write this mail to them with the request. Thanks gistbite: |

It's actually very funny and sad when I see all the documents that people upload and still don't get the visa. I applied for the first time recently and all the documents I uploaded was less than 10. I think 7 or so and I was granted the visa. My colleague that applied same day as me was refused after almost 36 working days. We reapplied again, this time around priority and with loads of documents to back it up and she was still refused again after 2 days. They apparently used another person's application to judge her own, because most of the paragraphs in the refusal mail wasn't submitted. To say she is devastated is to put it mildly. Which brings me to my question. What exactly do they look out for in an application? I keep thinking about my visa, what exactly did I do right?? |

Stallion93: Use wakanow.com There is an option to transfer the money to their account and they book the flight for you. |

Mzyetty: She should ask for a review since they used another application to judge her own |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Mzyetty: 10:20pm On Nov 20, 2021 |
We plan to do that. Almost 200000k gone down the drain. She should ask for a review since they used another application to judge her own [/quote] |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by gistbite(f): 10:22pm On Nov 20, 2021 |
dzee1: If a decision has been made, it means you have either been given or denied a visa. It takes about 15 days for them to withdraw your application. There is no format to the mail. It's a paid mail, just state your name and reference number (it starts with gwf) and request for the status of your application. You can also track your application on the website |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by sholsy: 5:02am On Nov 21, 2021 |
Yes. You have to fill a separate application for your son. Also when scheduling your appointment, you may want to use one of the services that enables you and your son get same appointment time so you could submit both applications together. |

@giselle237, @justwise and anyone with experience Please help me with answers. I want to apply for the 6 months visa to visit my fiancé. He is a final year undergraduate student so I will only be getting an invitation letter from him and I would be staying at his place. I would be sponsoring myself fully on the trip. Now my dilemma is this: - To help me be prudent with spending, part of my savings is removed from source I.e it doesn’t even land in my account at all, just reflected as savings reduction from my payslip. I have over 2 million in this, which is what I plan to use to travel. - Because I’ve once been robbed and account cleared, I don’t leave Any money in my accounts. Immediately my salary comes in, I send all the expense money I need to send out, move whatever is left to different savings platforms and then I move my weekly expense from there. What is advisable to present as proof of funds? If I use my statement of account from my 2M savings account, do I still need to add my salary account? How do I prove my disposable income? I would be adding my payslips to show how much I earn, how much is deducted at source and how much is payable into my account. How can I present my story. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 7:41am On Nov 21, 2021 |
@27autumn how much do you earn and what do you do for a living? Even if u have 2m for the trip, u cnt decalre tht u want to use all ur savings fot a trip, what happens to you when u come back from the trip? Present two accts to show the source of your funds. U also should also write in the additional info section of the form this explanation u wrote above . Add ur payslips it will also certify your earnings. What other ties do u have to Nigeria including aged parents Do u have any travel hx? Where exactly is this 2m? Can u get a letter + loquidate d funds if they are not liquid. Mind u tht u will need a cery comprehensive letter with receipts to show how this money has been accummulated |

sholsy: Even if you don't get the same appointment day, you can do walk in any day you like. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by sholsy: 10:00am On Nov 21, 2021 |
You would need to pay for a Flexi appointment to do a walk in any day. That's another cost different from Priority. gistbite: |

@giselle237, @justwise and anyone with experience Please help me with answers. My uncle who has British passport wants to invite me to UK to visit him base on his health condition and my work here in Nigeria is a salary work of 46k. And again, the salary account has been receiving money like one million and something but not up to two million. And my uncle said he will send me his British passport for my application My concern now is, is my salary of 46k and the money that my friend has been sending to my account which is sometimes more than one million and sometimes not up affect my Visa approval? Pls advise me also on other things to do. Thank u |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by gistbite(f): 10:11am On Nov 21, 2021 |
sholsy:I think anyone paying for priority will be able to afford the flexi fees that's less than 50k. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by dzee1: 11:27am On Nov 21, 2021 |
If he is using Air France, he can pay to their account at zenith bank and their dollar rate is low (about 444/$). gistbite: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 12:15pm On Nov 21, 2021 |
Vinny102:u can not get a visa based on what you have stated. Your friend sending more than 1 million to your acct looks like money lodgement. Who is goin to sponsor the trip? Your uncle is apparently sick so how do you want to convince the ECO that it is your appearance that he needs.. he surely will have a nuclear family. Then salary of 46k … nope chances are slim |
