Hmm... 72 weeks.

Assume 72 trips amounts to a min of 100k weekly net which is a total of 72 weeks round contract period that's a whooping sum of N7.2m.

Ok now, they do maintenance... But how about repairs because that is totally difference from maintenance, did you ask about that?

How about taking a trip outta state because there is no way one would drive for 18months without getting a trip offer outta state, what's the stake on that?

How about being blocked by Uber to low rating or high cancellation? What happens during the period? Any preference or shield to your account as a Moove contractor and partner to Uber?

What's the size of the engine? I believe 2.0L, do you know you'll be needing at least 6k daily for fuel to meet up to this daily and weekly target bc0s of some long distance PU? that's about 35k Mon - Fri... Will the tank be filled up being being handed over to you?

During campaign/promotions, e.g 2% after 6,8, or 20 trips, who goes home with the bonus amount? Moove or you?

Health.

Is there health insurance in the contract? HMO or something
What happens on the days you fall sick, have functions to attend outta state or decide to have a week leace or break?

These and many more are questions I asked them then when they never allowed me rest as they were always calling I come pick one of the cars on rental then. So bro, ask them question ooh. But las las... If they say they're also responsible for repairs guy! Jump at it but tell them to fill your tank.

Explore every opportunities at your disposal... Pkata pkata you drop the car if e no work well with you or if a better opportunity comes up.

You gerit? If you don't gerit forget abourit.

Let's have an intellectual discussion about these two platforms. note: intellectual discussion not an Argument/debate...

I careless about all platforms, I'm not their agent and not willing to be one ambassador

Now....I'm of the opinion, if a driver was to use the indriver platform, he needs to be smart. Here is it, previously someone embarked on a bolt trip from LUTH - Unilag and it ended N2900.
(Surge or No surge)

So he is to pay %23 commission...N667
He earns N2233...
A Driver might decide to go on such trip on indriver for N2400
With %9.5 commission - N228
He earns N2172...
Arguably - the difference is N61 (quite negligible)

Now, here lies the caveat...ensure the route you wan' go is of less traffic and short. Or better still ensure you drive against traffic.

Now, in this hustle....Time is of essence...for someone like me, I drive max - 4 days a week, I don't chase bonuses, if it comes- fine, if does not al'amdulilahi...

Like Pearl 1960 pleaded with a driver to move from toll gate lekki to wemco N3500 around 1p.m...without commission... Why not? You move ....Why wait for yeye surge, why drive back to a surge area and wait till you get offers at most N4500, closing hour....why not go wemco drop off and go position to alausa..begin your shuttle Ikeja - surulere back to Ikeja or magodo back n forth...

Time is key and Health is paramount...

In a nutshell....in this hustle, once you meet your target...ure good to go...

There's absolutely nothing bad in achieving your dream of a N1M, but your Chest and car go hear Pansa Pansa... (Ref - BAZOO)
Your mental health also - the oloshos with the prefix "Òga" appellation grin

anytime i pick trip on indrive i must check the estimate on bolt and if I are smart u can always take advantage when ther is surge on bolt, some riders use indrive just to be at peace of knowing how much to pay at the end of the trip grin on Sunday took a trip on indrive from lekki to berger for 4350 and when i check on bolt it reads 4500-5200 on 1.6 surge and me i set destination to berger already grin grin

Is it the white Innosin vehicles you're talking about or the 2016 corollas.

If it's the white once 72 trips off course should be viable weekly but the value placed on it is way too much.

Which ever the case maybe confirm is they actually meant repairs and maintenance although the contract period.

Don't mind them! Indriver don dey make dem feel like say bolt dey expensive. I delivered cake today, from bode Thomas Surulere to Magodo. The money came to 4k, bolt to compensate 5h. So rider should pay 3500. This lady started complaining bitterly that it's too high and that she would report me to bolt, that I've done something to the price. That the last time Indriver delivered to her, it was about 1500 or so. I just jejely told her; madam, you have the right to report, but you will have to pay me my 3500, I displayed it for you to see. Only if the price is lower, otherwise the Corolla anyday over the matrix after all they're in charge of maintenance (don't know about repairs) and johnchrix is not giving any answer to that regards.

Also, the resale value of the Corolla is something one should also consider.

Please, does it mean that once one makes a payment to Bolt and makes mistake in the reference number, the money is gone?

I made a payment of 3400 since Monday and erroneously put Bolt account number in the place of my reference number.

I have contacted Bolt support severally but they are not helping at all. This is frustrating.

I had to visit their office again today. This is for Uber go. The car is for Hp ,18 months, they take everything you make daily. You are to do 72 trips weekly, then if u can meet up that 72 trips before Friday, whatever you make the following days of the week is Yours. You are to fuel the car, they give you 5500 every day Once you meet your daily target. ( Working for 10 hrs) . They handle the maintainance. After the 18 months the car is yours..Ogas in the house how una see am?

This was the one I told you about.
Note that ubergo doesn't have this 2% promo.
In my own opinion if you are single, it will be OK but if married, no good.

Look for rentals. 72 trips weekly is not a small task, week in week out. No matter how healthy you are, you can't max out 16 weeks on that schedule without a breakdown. after then, you start struggling for your own small change.

You do HP only on your terms or terms favorable to both parties, in this case, they are the ones dishing out the rules.

Your search for a car is not disruptive enough, you might need to canvas physically. Let me give you a strategy.
do you desperately need a car? Follow these steps.

1.Go to a cyber Cafe, type out the following on an A4 sheet of paper.

" I need a Car
A very hardworking and careful driver.
No stories on your money
YOUR PHONE No. (BOLDED)"

They will type it in a way that you will have 5 or 6 repititions of that same message on 1 page of the A 4 paper.

Print out a very sharp Copy. ( this is your original copy).

2. Keep the original. Make 20 photocopies of the original. Use a ruler to individually tear the 20 A4 paper messages into strips. You should have 100-120 strips of that message "I'm a hardworking driver,.... No stories on your money".

3. Put everything into a big brown envelope.

4. Head to the busiest Bolt inspection Centre in Lekki. You seem to be on the island. Good for you. Ensure you are there when they start, do not miss any car.

5.Approach the individual car owners and politely state why you are there. After each short engagement (5-8mins). Hand them one out of the 100-120 strips of paper ( your cv literally).
NB. Don't dress shabby and dont over dress. A clean shirt and trouser (tuck in) even if it's sandals, tuck in. People judge on appearances.

For it to work, you need faith, say a prayer to the Father of lights for Favour and guidance, ( very important, believe me, some drivers in this same Lagos are getting 3-4 offers of cars. people are begging them to get them drivers or drive the car for them
) you can skip breakfast for the few hours of storming that center.

There is no way if you DILIGENTLY share 100-120 strips of paper to individual car owners in that Centre. You must get at least 10 good offers.
Things don't just happen, they are made to happen.

Goodluck.

Replace the condenser as well and the evaporator dryer as well. Don't gamble it at all if not your solenoid compressor will pack up

I had to pause my quest to restore my ac system to factory standards as it was just going to cost too much for now.

Being that I didn’t want to miss out on making money this period with a bad compressor, I just went ahead and replaced the compressor with another cheap manual compressor.

Replaced the condenser as well, as mine was clogged badly. I discovered it was clogged when I hosed the condenser and it still had wet spots on it after a while with the ac running. There were severe temperature differences in close proximity across the condenser surface, meaning parts were clogged and refrigerant wasn’t flowing through some sections. In fact, the first three rows were all at ambient temperature, which was a HUUGE red flag.

Anyways, I think I just bought myself six months at least to save up again for the new compressor as I have used up my “car maintenance” savings on this repair.

Testing with my probe thermometer shows about 17 degrees Celsius coming out the vents now, and like 24 degrees after 5 minutes on a hot afternoon, obviously dropping with time.

Now I can drive in the afternoon again, yay!

Note that you don’t really have to change the evaporator, but it can be flushed cause most of the compressor debris material would first clog up your condenser and the filter/dryer should catch most big chunks along with the orifice/expansion valve. So I wouldn’t flush a condenser but replace it, but I would flush an evaporator.

If it's UberGo you can do way more than 10 trips a day my only problem is You will fall sick some weeks during this 72 weeks, what happens if u don't meet ur 72trips in any of the weeks?
If there is an arrangement for this emergency then I think it's a good offer, go for a Corolla and in 18months u r a car owner.

Already, I didn’t plan to work during weekdays but weekends. So this morning I just said let me try and go online and see if I can get a matching trip to unilag. So a request came on on 1.7x surge.

I accepted sharpaly. On getting to pick up point , Omo I saw loads and fear gripped me.

See different loads including woooded POS signboard. Omo I was already telling the lady that I can’t carry the loads o. She was then saying that she normally use Uber to carry like that all the time. Okay as my mind was already going down to carry , that was how she brought out another heavy big load. I feared for my car shocks and just told her I cannot can.

I just clicked client asked me to cancel and enter school jeje.

Talking about some stupid drivers who believe that provided they're in front either left or right side of the road and a car is behind them then they've the right to change lane just anyhow after trafficating without minding how close the car behind is to them.

In my over 17yrs of driving around Nigeria I've observed and have found out that this is one of the most common cause of road accidents in Lagos and across the country and the worst of it is that the foolish driver when being hit by the car behind will down to claim right he's in front with words like, didn't you see my traficator? Na I hit me for back? All sort of nonsense.

Now, this is the road safety rule. If you're driving on the highway and want to change lane you must first,

trafficate to the side you desire to change lane to

Before you change lane after trafficating you must allow a distance of at least 100m away between you and the car behind the lane you desire to change to.

Permission is needed to be granted first by the driver behind before you enter his lane especially in a close range say less than 50meters otherwise don't enter.

Now, should you do all of these without following the rules and an accident occurs the driver in front bares the cost of repairs of both vehicles or accident victims.

He was lucky I was diverting.

You needed to see his car self, the right sid le of his car from the back door to the headlamp broken I believe similar thing must have happened and the driver must have hit him.

Wheel balance is mainly for vibration of the steering at a particular speed say above 40, 60 or 120km/hr and not when you step on your break pedal.

This I jnow for Japanese vehicles shall but I'll trouble shoot first b4 considering what exactly the problem is.

Me ive gathered enough experiences on car maintenance so I don't just rush into repairs without knowing the exact thing to fix.

Good you finally realised yourself on time.

You want to revamped the entire AC system with a new auto compressor... I was actually waiting to hear your testimony of how you changed over 3 auto compressors b4 you later resorted to manual type.

Well, all the same... My next advise is use the car for the 6months period you've settled for or for say 1yr then sell it and buy another with out any issue.

Peace of mind is priceless.

Me I can't come and kill myself on top car wahala.

Moove is also gambling that the 72 trips will not be all N500 naira trips grin
They are also running a business and must make profits.

grin

Mind you booking fee and base fare alone is almost N400.

Another, we don't know the contract agreement btw Moove and Uber because I don't see how only Uber will be collecting the entire 25% commission charges na... Mind you they're partners o
