Just check Ajaokuta and how its working seamlessly since 1976 that we contracted Russians

You mean the same Ajaokuta successive regimes have used to syphon billions of dollars in the name of renovation, revitalizing, rebuilding, restructuring all the REs you can come up with.

I wonder why he is not blaming the Russians, especially in the spirit of fairness.

No words for you.

I don't see a correlation between what you posted and me asking which players make your personal Premier league best 11 .....

But that not withstanding, I wonder what you're trying to prove, Football didn't start in 2000....

The proposal is ingenious. What was Buhari's response to it?

U think they will ever give anything that will give accurate data/information a chance in this country? Country wey people dey delibrately sabotage national census, manipulate figures to the extent that the whole exercise that we spent billions end up getting discredited?

Did I just read we lack intellectuals? Ol'boy this one Na dust yarn abeg. You probably need to expand Ur network, meet people and will be amazed at the number of Bright minds this country has ( some of which have even been poached by more responsible societies who know their value)

Just take time to go through Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe's profile attached below, take a look at one of his proposals for tackling the fuel subsidy scam that's been going on for years in this country.

The man is just of the numerous think-tank u claim we don't have available.

For this to work, It would need the cooperation of private individuals in the fuel business right...

Subsidy as a whole is a money making scheme for politicians who are never satisfied with taking more and more until there's literally nothing left to take(Subsidy exists, I just put this as an afterthought incase someone misunderstood)...

An executive and Judiciary that lacks the political will to prosecute and convict anyone profiting from a bastardized fuel/energy sector...

In essence, I'm saying that despite being a very brilliant idea and ingenious way to solve Nigeria's subsidy crisis, Subsidy is still generating money for some people in this country and I can't help but feel several manufactured issues will arrise after this project must have been completed....

The above are problems I feel might hinder the successfulness of this project..

On the other hand, since several government tenures in Nigeria have "all tried to remove fuel subsidy while letting natural laws of demand and supply dictate market movement" in order to fix the crisis(It's an ever present campaign promise at this point), supporting this innovative idea shouldn't even be up for debate....

So they even did the draw today. But seriously this tradition of the champions league teams coming to play those that were there since group stage should be removed like away goals rule.

Somenody asked him something similar tí this and below was his response. U see if government actually wants it to work, it will work.

Well I'm not saying the project will 100% work out the way he has projected(due to the sọ many peculiarities of Nigerian system as a whole), but then Nigeria supposed dey give brilliant minds like him a chance, maybe just maybe the country will not go to ruins sooner than imagined.

Interesting take ...
Corruption's ingrained so deep into Nigeria that if the private marketers can think far ahead, they would realise this could potentially earn them a whole lot more in the long term...
Some months ago, I was thinking about something like this but in Crude not fuel, It's sad most Nigerians with brilliant minds will die without 1% of their minds being tapped ....

Reece James, Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech were all involved in Chelsea training session today ahead of Carabao Cup final against Liverpool. These three key players have returned to full training session today at Cobham ahead of Chelsea clash with Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday.

throwing money at things never work, it's why most people now consider philanthropy a joke, want to solve hunger in Nigeria, let McKinsey analysts come to Nigeria and draft out how to stabilize the supply of one commodity, so all those who want it can afford it, pump money in real things, dont send food. send seeds and equipments, stop treating Africans like idiots, teach them to hunt, enough with all this bullshit talk of raising money to passively fight a cause

Do you know that trade among Africans countries is very low, compared to other continents, it's very very low, why? Because they made our societies dependent on being raw materials suppliers and pushed us into the ground competing to provide those materials at very cheap prices, while selling it's resulting products back to us at a premium

There is more but let me end it here, my point is made

Pls nobody made you dependent on being raw material suppliers except your leaders and who also happen to be the true reflection of the people they rule over. Don't get me started on how useless this continent is, we have been shouting AFCFTA since God knows when but ask yourself if there is infrastructure on ground to support this cause, or if every country has his land border open? Nigeria who claims to have the biggest economy has refused to open up her land borders and so is most of her neigbhouring countries and you wonder why trade between African countries is low. My product which I planned to bring from Ghana to Nigeria is now being taken to Netherlands despite renting a warehouse here in Nigeria because this idiot Government refused to open her land border and you want to start conspiracy theories about the west as if they are the ones we voted into powers.Abeg stop am

Are you registered to vote in Nigeria? Are you stopping the sharing of “Alubasa” in your LCDA? What of petrol/ garri/ sugar and groundnut?

Have some shame, Nigeria is turning 62 and you are still blaming America! Let fairness and equity start from there! E biara Lagos!

I have never seen this kind of mass exodus before.

This is why a lot of financial institutions no longer do graduate trainees. They have come to realise that once they do, 3-4 years down the line, 70% of them have resigned and they barely recoup the cost of training them.

And its not like they are leaving to earn a better pay elsewhere. 65% of those 70 leave the country.

Even me can't remember the last time I met someome that is not planning to one day leave the country.

Nigeria doesn't value talented people, is a dream killer.

When you've the majority of the citizens believing in God/god, juju, miracles, prayers (mere wishes), when you've rationalists and freethinkers as the minority who must live in fear of ignorance, of being branded witches and wizards by religious zealots, what you get is a country that can't solve the simplest of its problems.

No country can ever pray its way to greatness.

Sadly, Nigeria is on a path of destruction, and no amount of prayers can change things dramatically.

It's a sorry case, and things will only keep getting worse until there are much less religious and superstitious people in the country.

Won't be a bad idea for the club to follow this path, considering how underwhelming our jerseys have been of recent - and how fire fan edits usually are.

There are rationalists and free thinkers homeless in California and New York. Denigrating religion is not the hallmark of an intellectual or a rational being. Your arguments come off as half baked and reductive when you toe that line. But some people need to put others down to feel good about themselves. undecided
