My own personal opinion you may agree or disagree

Fellow nairalands brothers and sister please to my best or my little understanding !

forum means a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

please do not encourage people who always says ( I have PM you or write me on email or WhatsApp ) This a forum let help each other's exchanging ideas and let me people lean and others can share their own ideas .

If you PM or write private email or WhatsApp chat, how do you expect other people who want to lean and asked questions or share ideas or exchanged ideas engage

More so most people who always chat up privately or PM etc. that where you guys fall into scammer and you get rip off .

last but not the least " Nairaland Forum " is not secret cult so let people engage .

Hello , I have been following the thread here
I applied for a business visa first timer
My company is in France and I work remotely. I was invited for an offisite meeting, I got my passport today but was rejected.

These are the documents I submitted
My passport
The completed Visa Application Form
My Bank statement
My Payslips
Invitation letter from my company(Mindee)
Confirmation letter/ Employee agreement
Appointment letter
Employees Directory
Certificates relating to my occupation
Cover letter with travel itinerary explaining purpose of my trip
Letter explaining the previous rejection
Travel Medical Insurance policy
Proof of Hotel reservation
My Flight Reservation
Covid Vaccination Card

And I was rejected with these reason
Information justifying the purpose and condition of intended travel

And

There are reasonable doubts of your intention to leave the member state .....

I need to reapply again as this travel is urgent and essential for me.

What do you think I can do differently in my new application

Do I get my company is to send the embassy an email directly, would that be beneficial to me.

Please I need advice.

Hi Marybeth,
Its One Pointer

1. Your Company is in France and you work remotely- the Visa officer has unanswered questions as to why you can work remotely but need to be physically present to engage in an Offsite meeting.

This is the Doubt he or she has.

In this invitation letter, what was written? Duration of this offsite meeting and why your physical presence is of utmost importance to your growth as well as the company?
Was a copy of this Invitation letter sent to the Embassy as well as OR its just the copy they sent you?
Your Company should also guarantee that after this offsite meeting you will definitely return back to Nigeria .

@the bolded this is the only thing I think you can do, if it’s so important and they are convinced, they will call you back.

And another things to consider

Are you single?

Do you have any travel history?

This time around France is not smiling to first timer oo. Chaii na wa

@Beverlyhills I have sent this reply to my company. They will modify the invitation letter and send a letter to the embassy as well on my behalf.

Is there anything else aside this i can use to aid my application.

Been Single isn't a Criteria for visa rejection.

Remote jobs have their Pros and Cons. In this scenario, the notion you can work efficiently from anywhere has to be overcomed considering you have no travel history even though in some cases can be overlooked.

If your Company can do a Guarantee that you will definitely return after the offsite meeting then you stand a better chance.

They may ask why you cant Zoom in for this meeting.
Again this depends on your Capacity and your Level.

Its all in the Hands of the Employers in France to do the needful with a strong worded Letter sighting the utmost need for your presence. Evidence of official Correspondences

Are they sponsoring the trip? Was the first form properly filled ?

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 9:20pm On Mar 08, 2022
Dont let it bother you...

You can pick Single or Multiple entry. Usually they look at your itinerary to decide.

Totally at their discretion.

Congratulations, can you please inquire from him if he booked his appointment together with his children's own on one appointment or he booked their own separately since he is a frequent traveller and they are not.

My uncle got 1year tourist visa this morning together with his 2 kids under short stay. He scheduled 10days trip for Easter and requested for multiple entries. Though he’s a frequent traveler to Schengen countries and his last France visa was 6 month. The children are first time traveler.
So it’s possible to get 1 year tourist visa under short stay. [/quote]

The last time I did with that agent I didn’t take bank statements inside the embassy oh , but I can’t see where to upload it here

You dont upload anything. Everything you need to submit should be neatly seperated and submitted on the day of your Appointment.

Print out your Bank statement before you go for submission.

VFS Global Visa Application Center in Lagos

The Manor, Plot 110 Admiral Ayinla Way Opposite Treasure Garden Estate, ikate Third Roundabout, Lekki Phase .

You work remotely with a France company and they invite You for offline meeting. Visa officer assumed you are planning relocating to resume work physically in France with tourist visa.
I said it before, this people are strategic thinker. If it were event or training organized by your company that will need your physical present that is understandable not meeting. Meeting can be done online but there are some training that required you in person .
I will advise you , if possible let them change it to practical training and they should state your present is needed for one reason or the other. Even if they claim to sponsor all your trip to the meeting and forward to embassy it might not workout. Is important to study your visa documents and applications before heading tk embassy
