Joezinho: All those one is story. Mourinho could not use De Bruyne and could not see his quality. If De Bruyne was with Guardiola then, he will do wonders with him, just as he is doing with Foden. |

charlesemeka85: And what happened to Lampard he got sacked. Tuchel did not bring in Lukaku. Tuchel refused to play Tega Abraham and put in his place Werner and Havertz. That season 2020/21 Kai Havertz who cost £72 million scored 4 goals after 27 games and much more game time also Timo Werner who cost £50 million played 35 games with much more game time scored 6 goals. That season after just 22 games mainly as a substitute and with about 35% of the game time of Timo Werner still scored 6 goals in the EPL. The previous season Teha Abraham had scored 15 goals the highest goal tally by a Chelsea striker since the days of Conte. To date Kai Havertz and Timo Werner have been unable to match the goal tally of Tega Abraham. Sometimes football defies rational look at the transfer fee of Timo and Kai £50 and £72 million. But both of them have never been better than Tega Abraham in any way shape or form. Meanwhile Tega cost Roma a mere £34 million. Tuchel was biased and there seemed to be other preferences beyond football for his two German country men. Now they bought Lukaku and that has just been shambolic management by Tuchel can't see him lasting another season. 2 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: Mou loves managing underdog teams, he was the manager at FC Porto when Benefica were ruling, he managed Chelsea when Man united and arsenal were winning, he managed Inter when AC Milan were kings of Europe and Italy, he managed Madrid when Barca had the best team of Europe or any club( only behind AC Milan's legendary team under sacchi) even though managing underdog teams he brought out the best in them and brought silverware. This is one thing I don't think Apariola will be able to achieve. 2 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: Forget bias. People have preferences. I will play Werner anyday over Tammy Abraham upfront. I believe you will play Tammy over Werner. It is preference in style, not bias to the player. |

I wasn’t brought to Manchester City to win Champions League, says Guardiola Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City have already achieved their aims by being contenders in every competition, insisting he was not brought to the Etihad Stadium to win the UEFA Champions League. Manchester City’s wait for European football’s top club prize will go on after they lost 6-5 on aggregate to Real Madrid on Wednesday following an incredible semi-final collapse. But in a lengthy response to a question about his players’ chances of ever winning the competition ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game against Newcastle United, Guardiola had much to say. He explained how the club view success differently from “the people” on the outside. “I don’t know [if this team can win it],” he said. “It’s a question I cannot answer. Before Madrid, I did not know if we were able to win it. “I don’t have an answer to all your questions. Football is incredibly unpredictable –— we saw it. “This is my feeling, maybe I’m wrong: Abu Dhabi didn’t buy this club and invest in these incredible facilities, invest in players, like a lot of other clubs in the world, to be what we lived the last years. “It’s not to win just the UEFA Champions League. They did it to be there in all competitions, in every season, compete, compete, compete until the end. “We will try again next season. It will be difficult because the teams are good. I know the people want to be in that way, I accept it from day one, I have to handle it, but it’s not a problem for me.” Guardiola insisted he “cannot live” for European glory alone –— and suggested Manchester City would be criticised even if they did win the UEFA Champions League. Asked if the defeat gave him added hunger, he replied: “No, always I am starving. “I know the people outside here demand Champions League, Champions League, Champions League, we know it, but I cannot live [just for that]. “The moment we win the Champions League, they’ll say look at the money we spent. If not, they spent all that money and didn’t win the Champions League. We are the only club in the world in the last 10, 15, 20 years who spent money.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/05/i-wasnt-brought-to-manchester-city-to-win-champions-league-says-guardiola/ |

He explained how the club view success differently from “the people” on the outside...Guardiola Definitely. How people feel a man who invested a lot of money in Manchester City is not happy that Guardiola keeps us competing in all competitions season after season and only wants champions league is just a joke. Very little managers in the history of the game can do what Guardiola is doing and even if they pretend they do not know it, Guardiola has blown everyone's mind. |

PDPGuy: Players don't pick teams the team picks you . Arsenal are looking at a plethora of top striker's and so this a a bit premature as well as he is way over priced in my opinion £100 million. Italian Mafia at work with his transfer fee. 1 Like |

“I don’t have an answer to all your questions. Football is incredibly unpredictable –— we saw it...Guardiola It is comical that people are trying to make football predictable. That is, buy players and then Gbam, carry Champions League. Meanwhile Manchester United bought players and this season cannot qualify for Champions League and some of them are criticizing Manchester city and Guardiola for narrowly missing the Champions League final. They are prediciting Mourinho will carry the Champions League with Manchester City players. Meanwhile he spent a fortune on players and did not deliver the Champions League. I greet you oracles. |

komekn: That is to you. To me, Tammy can not polish Werner's boots. His work rate is unbelievable. The amount of attacks he makes out of nothing is superhuman. He is amazing. To you it is just goals. To me, it is about work rate and playing multiple positions. It is about movement and creating rooms for players. Tammy can not offer these. so it is preference, not bias against Tammy. |

komekn: Werner has registered eight assists for Chelsea in the league this season (11 in all comps), with Kane (13) and Jamie Vardy (9) the only strikers to have contributed more in the top flight. The German is crucial if Tuchel is looking to play on the counter attack, completing 10 total fast breaks for Chelsea - only Kane (13) has more in the top flight. Meanwhile, team-mates Mount and Kai Havertz (2) are some distance behind Werner, completing very few breaks this season in comparison. The 25-year-old has engineered nine big chances in the league (13 in all competitions). The only attackers to better that record in the top flight are Kane (14), Son Heung-min (14), Salah (11) and Sadio Mane (11). Werner has also become a potent weapon in winning penalties for Chelsea. The Blues have been handed a total of five spot kicks for infringements on the German in the league this season. No Premier League player has won more penalties, while Kane and Salah have been given just two apiece. FROM DAILYMAIL You need to stop watching football one-dimensionally. Coaches do not watch football this way. |

Joezinho: I hope you remember Mancini won the Italian Serie A repeatedly with Inter Milan before Mourinho came in. I think that was after Benitez took over from Mancini. When Mourinho joined Inter Milan, they were the Kings. Not AC Milan. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Well, so far, Guardiola worked with the best teams that can achieve what they achieved with Guardiola without Guardiola as well. On the other hand, Porto and Inter? There were managers like Guus Hiddink who increased the level of average teams they inherited, Mourinho may be asserted to be like them but not Guardiola. 1 Like |

Joezinho: Barcelona was trophyless for two seasons when Guardiola took over. Sevilla beat them home and away. They were a mess when Guardiola came and turned them to the greatest club team in the history of football. Nothing of Hiddink or any coach can ever be compared to that. Guardiola changed football forever. Transformed football in Spain, Germany and England. Has the whole world copying his coaching methods. He is amazing. |

Joezinho: Stop capping that mourinho loves managing underdogs ,you must think we are kids here He joined Chelsea because of oil money ,same thing you accuse guardiola of doing I am sure if a coach takes Newcastle job tomorrow with 300 million available to spend you will open your mouth waaa and say the coach likes underdog just as mourinho took Chelsea job then He managed inter when ac was king ,be deceiving yourself ,same inter that has won seria A 3 times in a roll before mourinho arrived Mourinho was a nobody when he was a Porto manager which one is mourinho loves managing underdog ,as if that’s not the best job he could get then . Madrid came for him 2010 and he went there ,why did he reject arsenal and some other teams not up to Madrid level ? Be deceiving yourself when we all know mourinho accept a large offer from Abramovich to join Chelsea and we all know who was the number 1 spender then ,but you all pretend to forget just because you wanna troll guardiola With all the money then why didn’t he deliver the champions league Guardiola is a fraud for now winning champions league with city and Bayern ,where is mourinho champions league trophy for big spenders Chelsea then ? Since guardiola can only win the champions league with Messi ,what stopped mourinho from winning the champions league with cr7 ? Something ancelotti and zidane easily did |
