So painful..I cried my eyes out yesterday, have been going for this particular interview since last month, I have been called to that place like 7times in wuse2, from one stage to another. The secretary called me on Wednesday that madam will like to see me,she assured me to get prepared for medicals and all...she told me to be there by 10:00am, I came and was told to wait till 3:00pm before I could see her, of course I patiently waited for her..las las I no get the job didn't know when tears effortlessly flow down from my eyes...I stood there and taught about soooo many things ranging from the transportation I have spent on this particular interview alone ... I kept singing not to break down on the road.

From Rivers State I went to Kaduna for NAMA ATC interview, passed aptitude test and oral interview till today they didn't call. I went to Lagos thrice no success. I told myself I won't attend again. Anyone who would interview me away from Rivers State other than on phone should keep his job.

Omo e no easy but God get my back. I travelled all the way from Ilorin to Lag only to get rejected because I told d CEO during the interview that I am in d last stage of my Masters programme. For my mumu mind, I thought it was OKAY to tell them the TRUTH about myself.

One thing I learnt from the interview is to never tell the TRUTH. Only tell them what they want to hear.

Your story is quite pathetic but the only way out is 'personal prayers and determination'. I have been in similar shoes as yours before and one thing I used in consoling myself then was 'I rather don't get the employment than get one that will claim my life, steal my peace or mare my body or image for life.'

I lost friends who made it to N.D.A to become officers at Maiduguri all in their prime, a few custom officers who happened to be my peers gone too...then, it looked as if I was never going to be employed but God has been faithful.

With so many disappointments, yet the ones I later got gave me bases to be recommended for another job on referral and they have enabled me build more contacts.

Please, if you believe in God kindly remind Him in your prayers to give you not just any job but one that won't steal your peace.

Kindly dust yourself up and don't let depression hold the best part of you (your thoughts) down. I bet you one day you will come here to tell us your success stories

Be careful of people who are promising to help you so that they will not carry more to your wahala.As a woman, there are lots of legitimate Jobs and work you can do.From your previous thread, you mentioned you're a school certificate holder.You need skill acquisition, learn trade eg soap making, cream or hair dressing, computer etc.Here in Lagos,most local governments are training people less than 2k for six months. You can also do Petty trading eg selling of sobo,kunnu,or pure water,or work in biscuits company etc. You can also be selling Fry potatoes with stew near to your house at a popular spot. it is tough, but even in the unpleasantness of the situation, make it a habit to replay events to see what you could have done/said better. That way you get to improve after those failures and become better prepared for success. Just keep re-tuning and refining yourself, your big break will come and you will be super prepared for it. To everyone else, going thru this, better days and opportunities ahead.
