DonroxyII: I get your point though. But come to think of it we are still saying the same thing. Men getting into marriage because they impregnated I will still turn out to be a SHAM marriage at the end. Because they are only afraid of the law catching up with them hence the necessity to jump into marriage with someone they might have never wanted to be their wife. There is a saying that says; "Prevention is better than cure." I don't want to sound too religious but God that instructed us not too isn't a fool. |

Danisaint112:Lol, The World is getting Unified and No nation is an Island anymore as well as the Human Right Enforcer .... thus, God is God but Reasonableness is also Reasonableness as far as Contemporary Times we found ourselves is Concerned! Some People do not believe in the Definition of God as Codified By Africans and Religionists Mind You I am a Muslim Myself and God Strictly Prohibits Premarital Sex in the Qur'an and So Be it if Such Law is Promulgated at National Level for a Shariah Based Nation: Nevertheless, There are Other Scientific Consequences to Such Law which also Needed to be Addressed as well as the Issues of Third Columnists who awaits the Indonesians to Rebel and the Government clamps down on Her citizens and the Western Nations Claims Human Right Abuses before You Realise it simple Riots will turn to Terrorism and Boom.. That's My Point .... We have to be Genuine with Whatever Strives we are undertaking as Morals ! I won't Promulgate Such Laws without Incentives to Promote Real Marriages and Maintain Real Marriages and that's Via Economic Prosperity of the Citizens because no Law is Absolute in Herself without the Support of the People whom the Laws were made for or Against ! That's My Own View Nevertheless the People would still sabotage the law ... Prostitutions is Prohibited in Nigeria but Which Corner you would enter without Red light ... But if the Government are actually Genuine in their Policies to Forbid Prostitutions via Economic Prosperity to Citizens I can Assure Myself that there would be not many girls on the street trading their Bodies for Cash ! |

DonroxyII: Hmm is still support the decision though. In as much as people will still find a way to fornicate such laws and measure will help curb the indecent act. That's my point. Peace.. ❤️ |

Oches4me: Don't comment like a fool. Get books on history's and read. The illusion which will be a reality, is a 50yrs projection. Concluding I am into immoral life shows how stupid you can be...You have no single power to judge a man , provided he does you no wrong ... you have no idea of how many LGBT are in the Middle East and Muslim populated Zones, just don't be a fool... Subject any religion to public scrutiny and see if any can stand the test of time like Christianity. It is a matter of time... |
The law is dumb. Indonesians are quite secular. People will find ways around it but it won't be perfect. It may also encourage the rise of homosexuality as it has done in Pakistan. Stop spreading misinformation. |

Just say you are a Muslim and you don't want to hear the truth. I am a conservative Christian so should support such a law. It is unrealistic. It just sends things underground. Despite Sharia in the many core Northern states, homosexuality still thrives there. There is a ban on abortion in Nigeria is there not. Has it stopped the practice or just sent it underground? I am just being pragmatic. |

Eniitankorede: The Vatican is a theocratic state that relies on revenues obtained from Catholic Church-dominated countries. She is even a city-state, so poor comparison. As for the UAE and specifically Dubai, she is richer than other Emirates within the country (excluding oil revenues), and this is solely as a result of relaxing her laws. Last year, she removed the law against the opposite sex sleeping together in a hotel room. Before then, the law was not implemented. Today, Saudi Arabia is emulating her by relaxing Islamic laws to increase tourists other than Hajj related. For Qatar, hs is only prosperous due to the high revenues from LNG exports and its small population. Should oil cease today, only the UAE can thrive economically and maintain its HDIndices. Again, religious laws tend to make countries backwards. Why are states in Northern Nigeria so poor? How can the likes of Sokoto and Zamfara attract skilled people to live and work when Deborah was brutally butchered? You, religious people, think everything is by the Bible or Koran. If the laws are implemented 100%, most of you will begin to complain. Today, people wish to relocate to countries with no religious laws. If religious laws endear development, how come many are not interested in moving to Saudi Arabia or Qatar compared to Belgium or Canada? |
Re: Indonesia Criminalises Pre-marital Sex, Co-habitation Of Unmarried Couples by Gerrard59(m): 1:26am On Dec 07, 2022 |
shegzhkn: That is the reason the UAE, specifically Dubai diversified quickly and today, the rest of the region is emulating her and to do this, they have to relax Islamic laws. Islamic laws cannot feed or pay taxes to fund social services or provide jobs. Should oil cease, only the UAE can thrive afterwards, the rest will have serious economic problems. |

This is BAD business for the WEST. Some of them go to Indonesia just for the SEX....but it is good news for all the girls forced into prostitution and sexual exploitation to satisfy disgusting men from Western countries. They will look for another alternative, like Thailand, to keep going to. fergie001: |

CBR100: Jordan is supported by the Israelis, so I don't know why you mentioned the country. Lebanon, doing well for herself? You have the Internet. Google about the country, and you would notice she started failing economically when she adopted hardline Islamist ideologies. Nigeria is doing better than Lebanon economically and will become terrible the moment she adopts hardline Islamic ideologies. All the states that adopted Sharia are poorer than ever before. As for the rest of North African countries, none has adopted this hardline ideology. Not Morocco or Tunisia or Egypt. Countries that rely on tourism cannot institute these policies. Isn't that a reason Egyptians kicked out the Muslim Brotherhood? Even Maldives at a point, wanted to do the same, but she backed out seeing the revenues obtained from tourists and how religious laws will scare away people and hinder development. Please do a bit of elementary economics before mentioning me when we discuss the economy |

shegzhkn: So, because they have SWF, they should spend yanfu-yanfu without thinking of expanding it till thy kingdom come? By expansion, this means diversifying the economy. By diversification, you relax or outlaw some of the draconian laws in the society so that sectors that will deal with foreigners can thrive, employ people and pay taxes. No wonder Amaechi, Fashola and Oshiolmole pressurised Jonathan to squander the ECA and back out from creating a SWF. You people deserve the politicians you get. |

MasterTeeUSA: In the first place, very few westerners headed to Indonesia for sex tourism. If they did, Jarkata would be among the most visited city in the region since Bangkok is close by. Also, if they did, Morocco would have also been a sex haven. Well, since the country will receive fewer tourists, women who were employed in the service industry will make do with being maids in Singapore or Saudi Arabia where they're maltreated by bosses in the latter. The small tourism industry wey bin dey employ people will receive fewer tourists than before. |
