a F&F film is a guaranteed box office success esp with China in play.
But don't sleep on Mario Bros,
It has huge following and the success of the games proves that.
It wouldn't surprise me if it becomes one of the highest grossing films of the year.

As for Hunger Games prequel, WOM will decide if it has legs or not.

At the barest minimum the response to the way of water will carry the next movie. Unless the next one is somehow wack, otherwise it will be an avengers type build up. Especially if he throws a cliffhanger into the next movie

Family oriented ones like Mario Bros might do fairly well.
The critical successful ones like Oppenheimer and Dune 2 will polarize the audience so don't expect them to light the box office on fire.
I'm predicting a lot of flops.
Oppenheimer and Barbie will open on the day for instance.
That should you a taste of the bloodbath that will flow this year.
