I got here through Cotonou (anybody saying Cotonou is over hyped is not worth engaging in an argument with, it's the best decision I've made recently especially in terms of traveling, no regrets)

Flew Air Maroc for half the price I saw in both Lagos and Abuja, had one stop over in Casablanca and total flight time was 12 hours (can't be any better especially when it's not BA or Virgin)

Landed Heathrow and was interviewed by the guy at booth 34 (dude should be a Pakistani as most of them were or Indian).

Me: Good evening
Oga: Passport please (didn't reply my greeting)
Me: Hands over passport
Oga: What are you in the UK for abi where are you coming from? (can't remember which he asked first)
Me: Cotonou, Benin Republic and I'm here for work
Oga: work as what
Me: care work
Oga: Can I see your COS (same time asking for where I'll be working)
Me: handed over my COS and mentioned my employers name and city
Oga: how much did you pay?
Me: (wasn't surprised cos I expected it) I didn't pay any money except the one I used to get the requisite documents and application
Oga: do you have any family here and what and what is your daily duty as in job description
Me: I answered (the girl beside me was asked the same question almost at the same time and her voice was as loud as a microphone)
Oga: you know how to collect your brp right?
Me: yes
Stamps me in....
Dude didn't smile the whole process, lasted for about 4 minutes....

Dont do anything...not all nsf ask for additional documents....sometimes additional request may follow....ssometimes, its just an ECO being nice enough to tell u ur application is receiving attention..

Relax..u visas will be out in a week or a couple of days over

Police Report additional information (Partner) requested August 15th, 2023 and PCC sent on August 16th, 2023.

Sponsor Note or Bank account Statement for Partner and Child requested on on Thurs August 24th, 2023 and and joint bank account statement in both MA and partner sent on Fri August 25th, 2023 re-attaching child birth certificate and alongside Explanation Letters for both Partner and Child.

Visa Decision Made and 2 DHL passport Delivery emails received on today Tues August 29TH, 2023

BRP email is now being awaited.

He is asking if he will be needing a transit visa at Frankfurt.

This flight seems to be the cheapest for him as he wants to resume school next week. Please you guys should help out on what you think.

Definitely. Get transit visa or close eye use another airline. If he can delay travel time a bit, October is a cheap time to fly

He said they told him, he needs to resume latest 18th of September.

How can he apply for the transit visa? How much? Can he do it online or needs to travel from his state to Lagos?

Yeah I can there cheaper flights in October. The cheapest he is seeing is 15th for Qatar airline and it’s about 1,025,000. Others are astronomically high.

I have been waiting over 11weeks for my SWV/ Healthcare worker visa. I have missed my work start date( August 2nd,2023). Documents submitted for my application(MA): Passport, Nigerian PCC, Canadian PCC, POF Application submitted: May 24th 2023. Biometrics: 12th June 2023. NSF email: 22nd June 2023 ( No request for additional document for me and my kids, my husband was asked to submit PCC even though I submitted PCC for his application , I uploaded the old PCC and got new PCC and re-uploaded). Several paid emails and calls, escalated my case, sent a complaint email. All I get is ‘Application is under consideration’. I waited for a long time, I guess they forgot about my application. Spoke with my employer to look into why there is a delay in my application. Employer got back to me saying UKVI requested for additional documents from me on 22nd June 2023 but I didn’t get any additional documents request from UKVI(checked all my folders). It seemed UKVI forgot to send me additional documents request Additional document request July 25th,2023: PCC from all the countries I have lived. I really don’t understand why I should send PCC again( Was it because it wasn’t clear, they didn’t get the one I initially submitted or they weren’t satisfied with it?), I sent a message to the work sponsored email about my confusion. July 26th, 2023-I got an email that they needed another Canadian PCC with fingerprint search from RCMP, the one I sent was name and DOB search only. It took me 15 days to get the new Canadian RCMP PCC for my spouse & I. The annoying thing was that my colleagues who submitted the PCC that I initially submitted all have gotten their visa and are working now. I also sent another Nigerian PCC for myself and spouse( because I don’t want to hear anymore stories). August 11th, 2023 - Sent additional documents PCC. Second Escalation- August 18th 2023. August 30th 2023- Sheffield escalation email: I can see a decision has been made and your Visa Application Centre (VAC) was notified to release the passport. UPDATE: I got an email 1st September, 2023 from no reply.UKVISABRP that my application is successful. I am still waiting for our Passport. The stress and torture of waiting for visa approval is not worth it, If I could see the future I would have paid for superpriority visa. I guess UKVI put a price tag on one’s mental health- It is 500£ or 800£ depending on how fast you want your visa.
