They took away their seaport.
Took away their airport
Took away their railways
Took away their barracks.
Then asked them to go survive.
And survive they did.
And when they prosper, they say go back to your land!

You have I think, Imo and Anambra, are number 4 and 6 for GDP in Nigeria in 2021, which was a very violent Year, even in the midst of the violence, three of the five South East states were in the top 12 for GDP per Capita, yet there's no Seaport, the bridges are not good, the roads are not good.

The government needs to do more for the South East, I totally agree. They also need to embark on programs that foster national unity...

The only wrong thing he said was the seaport; there is no sea or ocean in the south east to begin with, so where do they locate it in the region since it's landlocked? Except for Lagos & the Niger delta, locating a seaport anywhere else is a complete trash idea.

What the SE needs is a good rail network and dry ports to transport cargo from and to various parts of Nigeria.

With all the injustice, the East is pushing ahead economically.

It's a paradox, those with political power are in economic poverty and vice versa.

The marginalisation, disenfrenchisement and political alienation of the igbos will always bring chaos to Nigeria. You cant have peace and progress without the full integration of everyone, it is just against natural law.

Lets see if they will blame the white man, because the igbos have been saying this for years, fought a civil war because of it, but they all turned a blind eye.

Don't mind them, civil war was it not bcs of massacre in d West and Middle belt? Yet igbos were called out

An understanding foreign official.

If igbos don't fight for theirs, the selfish controllers are too greedy to have any conscience. Matter of fact, they will do a little for those around the SE, which the igbos are happy for, but they do for them, just to align their loyalty against the igbos. They ignore the middle belt and might throw a road or 2 to the whole region. They are banking on the fact that the middle belt is too ethnically diverse, to really align one way or not.
To be discussed at a later time.

For now, this guy is a wise mind.

These are talks that are unfounded. Onne ports have been operational since the 1980s, Calabar ports is there. SE is landlocked, they can work with the ports nearest to them.

Why did they refuse the secession clause?

The east that has no natural access to the sea would be the one shouting seaport.

To make matters worse, it's not like they want to export.

The igboman is a lion. He fiercely resisted slavery and Fought the whiteman for 30 years, the longest British resistance in Africa.
Nigeria is a cage designed to keep the lion under control.

He should have advised the Igbo to be more honest in their business dealings/activities; they top out other tribes by an incredible margin, in terms of the manufacture of counterfeit and substandard consumer goods and pharmaceutical drugs, narcotics trafficking, kidnapping, human trafficking and a lot of other criminal activities. Why?

Why is the average Igbo man at the forefront of criminal activity perpetrated against his fellow countrymen? By natural law, whatever energy you give out to the world is what you will get back. If Igbo man lacks respect and compassion for his compatriots as evidenced by his criminal business engagements, there is no way he can/should expect to receive good treatment in exchange. People get what they deserve in this life, always, whether they like it or not.

Thats the worst part bro. We blacks don't like telling ourselves the truth, that's why Nigeria can have a drug-kingpin and a terrorist as president and vice-president respectively and still claim to be fighting corruption, drug-trafficking and terrorism
