It's not surprising because for about 3 years now, the Nigerian Armed Forces and The Police have been posting Ibo officers to the SE region over officers not from the region.

Army promotion is not as rapid as other armed forces like air force, navy or police.l knew this while l was in the service. Normally, you get promoted to the next rank after 4 yrs in air force.
