I know how much bad-mouthed the Igbos here are and how much they seize every opportunity to deride us, how annoying their reaction would have been were this to be us. However, I won't be insensitive, I won't be like them. I wish the owners of properties here do not lose their properties and lives. I wish erosion evade them and government provide succour

Nice of you. Thanks indeed.

What is wrong with Nigerians.

They have already turned the site to a dustbin and dumping ground which will make the errosion worse.

This is the legendary gully errosion we were thought taught abt in integrated science in early secondary school.

Did you mean 'geography'?

FG should take responsibility for erosion in Abia when you have a governor ?

Abia does not have any big river more is it close to any sea or ocean ?

If this was Lagos I can imagine what Igbos would be saying by now even with it proximity to the oceans n several seas n rivers.

Geography was in senior secondary school. Gully errosion was introduced first in integrated science (popularly called inter science then) around js1 or 2.

My problem is that no erosion becomes this threatening over night, it starts as just a water way and gradually becomes a crater and then turn into gully.

At the initial stage a trip of sand could have arrested it but it is always ignored

All in the name of I'm a landlord.
I don't pity ignorant people. This one has nothing to do with the government.

Block and cement house for that matter.

That place was normal level ground before the erosion turned it like this. No sane person will build at the edge of a cliff.
