missjekyll: Yum! No worries! I know the kinds of people you mean and I do not share any of their views. I work with 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen immigrants from Nigeria, India, Hong Kong, Jamaica, France daily & they're all lovely. I find that people who complain about people not being British enough also tend to have a poor understanding of British history. 2 Likes |

Hi everyone, I am a dependant and my husband is a student. Our visa expires in December 2024 (we came in last year sept) but my husband has 2 resits due to plagiarism which means he needs to extend his visa till next year so he can finish his capstone. My question is, since his set is the last to come in with dependants, will it still be possible for us to cross to PSW visa after the extension? Or what is the best solution in this kind of situation please? I hope to get a job with sponsorship, but just in case I am not able to get one, will the PSW visa still be available after expending the study visa please? |

toughest007:Hi. Your visa decision will be sent through email or until you get hold of the physical passport? |

headofschool: Cost for you or for your dependant? Most employers pay for the cos, IHS and visa for at least the main applicant at the very least. Check with your prospective employer, 1 Like |

kumbhuru: It depends... Personally, I tracked my application status online and kept checking when I expected an outcome, till it landed. Others may have gotten an update via email or phone, not sure. I don't know what methods they use these days. I'd recommend you check the TLS page for the latest info. |

IridescentAge: You dont put everything in a manifesto. Who would read a thousand page document. You only put votewinners and things that would be revolutionary and require an express mandate. I am working class, use public services. I see no downsides from a decade of labour rule going from precedence. There will be tax rises but since I only pay ni,income tax, vat and since capital gains tax does not apply to your primary home, I and other hardworking people are absolutely golden. It's about time the wealthy paid their dues. 1 Like |

missjekyll: I think Labour are being more deliberately vague than normal because they feel they don't need to spell anything out. The more they spell out the more the Tories can attack. But it means that comparisons of manifestos, such as Greens vs Labour aren't very useful this election. Like you say, the best way to judge this upcoming government is probably to compare it to the last New Labour government (which wasn't that bad). I'm irritated with Keir somewhat but I'll probably still vote Labour. 5 Likes |

eraglory: I don’t mean to be rude. I know it wasn’t for me but, just need to be sure. By 4K. Do you mean GBP4,000 or NGN4,000 ? Maybe it’s my UK poverty speaking, but I ask because of the ‘when salary comes’ phrase. It made me think 💠what the salary itself is… that must be some huge, salary. |
