As META Recognizes Nigeria For Facebook Monetization, Here Are A Few Points To Note; 1. Don't be too fast to submit your tax information/setup 2. In as much as the monetization dashboard has read 'reside in eligible country' let's wait for official announcement otherwise when meta would have updated thier information to add Nigeria officially as an eligible country. 3. Be careful the kind of content you post as well as comments you make as soon as you get monetized. 4. Remember that Facebook pays for originality and be ready to do original content only because you can't just download someone's content and repost and then expect Facebook to pay you. Instead the original owner will still be receiving revenue on the content. 5. Finally you have joined the dollar gang, please don't get dêprêssed when the dollars are not coming in as expected because fb go whine you but no panic. 105 Likes 10 Shares

Time to leave Facebook. I'm already suffering the useless contents that flood my page and now with this news, more useless contents will start flying around. I trust Nigerians to overdo things. 170 Likes 16 Shares

I looked at how Davido spray dollars I think we need to start charging or taxing rich people to oppress us. These people are bringing revenue to this country. The Naira is struggling because of this people splashing money for no business reasons. 6 Likes 1 Share |

BREAKING: Content creators on Facebook now eligible to earn money in Nigeria Meta Platforms Incorporated has now enabled Facebook in-stream ads for indigenous content creators to earn a living using the app in Nigeria. The social media giant formally listed Nigeria on Thursday as an eligible country for indigenous creators to monetize their content on Facebook. Chronicle NG could independently verify the claims making the rounds on Thursday morning. Meta’s President of Global Affairs, Sir Nick Clegg, said in March 2024 that the platform would introduce a feature on its Instagram app that would allow Nigerian creators to monetize their content. Clegg said the feature would be unveiled in June 2024 and would enable indigenous content creators to earn a living using the app. Clegg revealed this when the delegation paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja. “We have a lot to do with Nigeria to deepen partnerships,” Clegg added. https://www.chronicle.ng/multimedia/social-media/creators-facebook-nigeria/ 1 Like 1 Share

Na wa o! Nairaland has used and forgotten a lot of great contributors without any benefits accruing to them due to slow or lack of innovation on the platform. 13 Likes |
