All these your Owerri people Owerri people
If l may ask, who are theses o called Owerri people that granted a former governor persona non grata ?

If they are this powerful as you want us to believe, why haven't they been able to wrestle power from Orlu people since 1999 ?

You want us to believe that they can't grab power but they can control those in power ?

Why are we not hearing Nike or nkanu people from enugu indigenes ?.
Why are we not hearing Awka people from anamberans ?
Why not Umuahia people from abians.
Or Abakalili people from ebonyians .

Why always you guys despite dominating the leadership of your state since 1999.
Don't you think that there is something fondamentally wrong with Orlu people ?

It is just like north wailing that south east is the reason for their backwardness despite ruling Nigeria since 1960.
.
Honestly you are an irritant.

Oguta Lake partners US firm to invest $50m in Imo biodiesel plant

Oguta Lake Amishi Ventures (OLAMV) in collaboration with Global Green Bioenergy Limited , California USA has concluded plans to plant about 15 hectares of Jatropha Curcas along the banks of Oguta Lake in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State as part of investment in biodiesel processing plant.

The plantation of Jatropha Curcas, according to the Global Green Bioenergy Limited, California USA and Oguta Lake Amishi Ventures (OLAMV), would also reclaim some degraded environment around Oguta Lake as the Jatropha plantations and processing would also engage in biodiesel export.

In an interview with our correspondent immediately after inspecting part of the farm site along the Oguta Lake with the consultant and members of OLAMV, Cons Ejiogu, a project and content development consultant, who is also consulting for OLAMV, said that the investment was estimated to be $50 million, and it be would be domiciled in Oguta.

According to him, Oguta Lake Amishi Ventures (OLAMV) is a community-led intervention Organisation formed to protect the environment at Oguta because of the effects of carbon emissions and pollution from the oil and gas as well as diesel spillage.

“The warming in this place is higher than any other area because of these gas flaring activities, and other carbon emissions that are going on in the community.

Leave the fools, only a greater fool will join them in their impossible, unachievable quest to have Orlu state where they can rule, dominate and lord over others. A people that have misrule a state for over 2 decades still crying marginalization, I just don't know what's wrong with these folks. Ohakim is from Okigwe zone and it was Okigwe zone turn to produce a 2 term governor of the state but the same moronic Orlu people conspired with Owerri people to make sure Ohakim, Okigwe got only 1 term. They Orlu have been voting for their thiefing brothers to steal Imo dry yet other zones are not crying marginalization, only same Orlu people. They accuse Owerri people, their partners in crime against the other zone of cornering every federal and state governments establishment in the state simply because they are not getting a major share of the institutions sited in their Orlu. Ask that fool that has been ranting here and disturbing the public peace if the alleged projects that were sited in Owerri had been done in Orlu will he be here talking about Orlu state or advocating that Okigwe zone should be developed too? It has been all about Orlu Orlu and the reason for this their useless agitation for the creation of their so called imaginary Orlu state is so that they can lord over others and do whatever they are please and no one will question or challenge them. I wonder how powerful this Owerri people are to be able to control a siting governor. Their, Owerri elders that couldn't stop Rochas when he was determined to relocate the market in Owerri which resulted in the death of an only son, and despite all the gra gra from Owerri elders, chiefs and kings yet they couldn't stop him from moving the market. A state governor in Nigeria, just like a Nigeria president is the most powerful governor and president in the world, they can do whatever they are pleased and heaven no go fall. So I really wonder how mighty this so called Owerri or oru Owerri people are that they are in control of the entire state, decide what happens to the investments that comes to the state yet they can't decide who governs the state. A state they do not have their own as the governor for more than 24yrs since the return of democracy in Nigeria. A state where all the state government parasitatal are not dominated by them, yet one bingo is here every day barking like a dog with rabies disturbing the peace of people. Is really very unfortunate indeed, and I pray they never get Orlu state, and pray even more that the so called Owerri people keep allegedly pressing their neck and suffocate them the more till they all run out of gas, air.

Man of no lefelendum no Biafla. You want to reunite with your lost brodas in Anioma through propagation of hatred and injustice against Orlu. You get common sense so?

One of the two federal constituencies in your Anioma State proposal has said they are not part of any proposed Anioma State for the SE zone. https://www.nairaland.com/8136930/delta-group-nnu-rejects-inclusion/3#130672952.
Your next move is support division of old Enugu State for the 2nd time to get Nsukka/Adada state whereas Orlu, Okigwe and Owerri areas still remain in Imo state where Owerri has practically reduced Orlu and Okigwe to nothingness. Tell your readers the silly story of Orlu has been governing Imo state.

Zigreat Contract Scam Re-echoes’ As Dibiagwu’s Aide Accuses Kingsley Uju Of Complicity

– I’m Not A Director In Zigreat-Uju

The dust raised by the multi-billion naira contract scam that was linked to Zigrate construction company and some officials of the defunct Rochas Okorocha administration, is yet to settle, as Frank Nwaete, an aide of the incumbent lawmaker for Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta federal constituency of Imo State, has accused the immediate past lawmaker for the federal constituency, Hon Kingsley Uju, of complicity.

Nwaete, in a statement he issued recently, alleged Hon Eugene Dibiagwu presently on the run to evade arrest by anti graft agencies for his involvement in the shabbily executed new Imo State Police Command headquarters at Avu, in Owerri West Local Government Area.

According to Nwaete, “on Tuesday May, 2024, two (2) bulldozers were deployed by the 3r administration of Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko), at the supposed new Imo Police Command Headquarters, Avu!

The mission of the two (2) bulldozers was to demolish the gigantic edifice that was constructed during the Sen Rochas Anayo Ethelbert Okorocha Rescue Mission administration!, that remained inhabited till the date of demolition!

The news today is that a whooping sum of one billion naira (#1 billion naira), is said to have been expended on the project.

The one billion naira payment, has now been traced to Kingsley Chima Uju, as he nominated a “company” he has vested interest in!

Kingsley Chima Uju and his “company”, were only a conduit pipe to siphon the one billion naira, in which not up to #10 million was spent on the building, which failed all engineering and architectural tests, conducted on it by building experts!

Recall, that towards the twilight of former Governor Rochas Okorocha tenure, an aide of Pascal Obi, who was then his Principal Secretary, popularly called Otigbu Inyinya was said to be the General Manager and signatory to the contracts awarded to Zigrate Construction company, which amounted to billions of naira with its head office at Ubele,Ideato South.

Some of the contracts included the Imo Police Command new headquarters at Avu at the cost of N10.3Billion which covers for phase 1 and phase 2, the Prison located close to the Police headquarters that is now collapsing as a result of dilapidation occasioned by poor and substandard job, the office of the Ministry of Niger Delta.

It was also gathered that Zigrate, before it’s operation in Imo State, did not have record of large scale contract [b]execution. Yet, the Okorocha administration, curiously awarded it 10 contracts, all of which were signed by Dr Pascal Obi, who was then his Principal Secretary and immediate past lawmaker for Ideato North and Ideato Souths Federal constituency.

The contracts were also said to have been awarded at extra-ordinarily high costs. For instance, the total cost of the 10 contracts awarded to Zigrate was N20b comprising N683m for the construction of a Community Hospital at Ogboko, in Ideato South Local Government Area, where former governor,Okorocha hails from, Niger Delta corporate office, along Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, N611m, a campus of the Imo State University (IMSU) at Onuimo LGA, N2.79b, among others.

The surprising aspect of it all, according to a source who pleaded anonymity, is that, “most of these contracts were not executed, yet the monies involved were not accounted for, while those that were executed failed all the quality control tests performed by qualified experts in building including Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers.

When contacted, Kingsley Uju, who reportedly, is in the eye of the storm, said, “I am not directly or indirectly involved in any of the contracts awarded to Zigrate Construction Company. I am also not a Director or a member of the Board of Zigrate”.

The former lawmaker said those linking him with alleged scam are detractors and enemies of his upward mobility. He also wondered why anybody should hastily disseminate such false and malicious information without conducting thorough investigation.

Olu-Owerri people say the building was shoddily constructed.

Construct and Demolish in Owerri. From market to road to public buildings.
Funds that should have gone to modern development infrastructures in rest of Imo state burnt down on Owerri.

Orlu-Ihialla Road is a rotten 20km federal road. If state or federal government starts to rebuild it, it will be announced loud with 🍾 celebrations.

Abeg, the government has to look into it

The general Hospital beside the NYSC camp has been partially taken over by NYSC officials, for accommodation during camping... Atleast, if government decides to be useless, they're helping keep some part of it in good shape... But that wasn't the reason why it was constructed, let the government put all these structures to good use... Even if not all at once, let them start from somewhere

Owerri to Enugu, passing through Okigwe?

That was my route during my University days at UNN... The only memorable part about that road during that period was the windy road around UDI...

Seems I'll venture that direction soon...

It'll be very good if all the interstate roads are well constructed... Look at how bad the Onitsha - Owerri road has degenerated to. The erosion-ravaged part of the road sef, e be like say na bricklayers dem dey use repair am, very shoddy work being done there

Look at Owerri - Port Harcourt road (Obinze axis), if we can have that kind of road cutting through all the SE states, trust me, it'll bring more development to the region... That's why I'm happy with what Hope is doing to the Umuahia road

Everyone wants to live in township because there is no government presence in rural communities. No social amenities in village, so everyone is running to urban centres.
