Yes, Seedco 510.

But I think it's wild animals because I actually saw the holes they dug.

They also removed beans I planted too.

But I'll like to know what's wrong with the seeds though.

This is what I did after I noticed the same with mine. I plant three seeds per hole and replant two weeks after

It's the seeds. I noticed very poor.germination rate. It was so bad that we.can.say the.geimation rate with them is 65%

Wow. Thanks for this.

Protect your farm from cattle invasion by planting weeds poisonous to cattle(about 1 meter in width) all around the edge of your farm(length and breath). So many farms have been decimated by cattle in the last couple of years. It is high time farmers begin to more effectively defend their crops and livelihoods. undecided

Another thing you can also do is spread rumours around through even the other farmers that you and other farmers have taken to planting poisonous grass in your farms to help curb the giants called cattle. The rumour may not work immediately but may cause the cattle herders to become wary of farms and growths in your area. undecided

Boycotting their meat altogether is additional way of deterring them from going through your area. They have to go buy to feed their cattle and also to possibly reach your markets. If the demand for the plants are poisonous for their cattle and demand for their meat significantly reduced, they would definitely look for other places to forage and also to sell their meat. undecided

It is wrong to post Minnesota plants without checking if they are available here or can be grown here.

Junkie....I have told you many times.....always read links and papers you post very well.

If you want to help this man, find the Nigerian local names for the plants mentioned in the article. Or you find species that can be planted here.

Na wa oooo! You are too fond of just posting links and papers that are irrelevant.

May God help us. Please...na beg...just don't go post links and articles for medications and drugs oooo. Don't kill people. You are dangerous. Too dangerous. NL needs to start checking your posts for the safety of Nigerians. This is not religion sir you say your theories and beliefs. Ha! This is agric. Please, stay out of what you don't know. Please. Biko!

Caution: I know this moniker very well.... Check his posts. This moniker always has opinions on all subjects. Start from his posts in the religious section and see for yourself. Then, move to some posts he made on food and health. Please, take note of this moniker.. The person behind it is extremely dangerous.

Farmers need to take a more meaningful approach to protecting their lives and livelihoods. https://x.com/i/status/1805170612219826525
▶ Plant weeds that are known to be poisonous to cattle(about 1 meter in width) all around the edge of your farm(length and breadth). Tell farmers in your communities to do the same. This way you all can create a no-cattle zone around your farms.
▶ Spread rumors throughout your local area of how weeds poisonous to livestock have been intentionally planted all around the area to deter cattle from eating up crops on farms. The information will help local livestock farmers protect their animals while also spreading the word about the danger the area poses to herders bringing cattle to forage in the area.
▶ Consider raising awareness in your communities of how they must boycott cattle and beef from these herders who don't seem to value their lives and livelihoods. A boycott will further deter herders from visiting the area altogether.
▶ Always document any issues and encounters with herders and their cattle. Collect video evidence, images of the suspected herders, and sample evidence. Post information on each encounter online. Additionally, distribute it to warn farmers all around your communities and area.

but where's the fertilizer?... can't see them. Did you bury them?

Also, is it not too early for the army warm attack? How many days after planting did you start seeing the army worms?.. and when did you start the treatment?... and with what?

Nothing like waiting for army worm o. They have to be fought before they appear. They showed me shege while I was waiting for their emergency by the.time they appeared 80% was covered.

Wow. I once apply once and I noticed the weeds do not die completely. Hmm, thanks for sharing, this means after tractor operations, you first apply glyphosate. Then after the first three days of planting, you apply paraquat and Atrazine mixture right ?

if u have the capacity u can use it before tractorization.

It help to suppress weed intensity.

But if u don't have the capacity, ploughing is also a weeding excercise... As it also remove weeds...

Success sir

first.... Check the weed growing iñside, check for the following.

(1) Are the weeds broad-leaved? If they are broadleaf, use either of guardforce, striker.

(2) If there are spear grass like, use post emergence herbicide thàt contains halosulfuron eg cornforce

After taking care of the weed, apply urea fertilizer.

Quick question Boss. Weather forecast suggests continuous downpour over the next 10-14 days. If one's second herbicides application falls within this period, what would be the way out considering the rate of the consistent downpour. How can weeds be managed during times like this ?

Or permit me to rephrase my question in another way, how many hours exactly does chemical herbicides needs to achieve their desired effect ?

30 minutes before any downpour is fine.

Just make sure u time the rain.

Herbicide works well when the grass are wet.

It is just like serving them a poisonous tea

Always time the rain.

Don't forget, 30 minutes before any rainfall

One quick question still in the spirit of the whole forum getting educated. In events of maize.plants getting sprayed such that they appear burnt, should farmers just forget about them and replant completely ?
