I really need her to come by September this year cause I'll be having a baby at about September this year.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can get her a closer interview date even if it's October this year.

2. Hence, the USA embassies are using the long- date interval to minimise the burden of workload on their staffs and especially to sieve out the leisure seekers out of the need-based visa seekers.

3. Ipso facto, the only way for your mom is to apply under Medical Emergency which must be ratified by your hospital or clinic in the USA via letters inviting your mom officially as an exigency, and another explaining your child birth situation.

Guess I may have to do this, but what will change being that with repeated calls and emails they claim to have sent me temporary password to their emails which I never have received (inbox, spam, all checked ). Besides they said by August a new system will be replacing Ustravelsdoc -how then can one reconcile this issues. hmmmn ! I presently am the only one with a date.
I wonder if there is any other route to this and hoping this will not impact already paid MVP Fees for d kids which am not sure are linked to their applications etc.
I think I missed it a bit when I took a few "lines/advise" from Commenters here stating that each applicant must have a CGI profile at the onset only to learn much later that its not so for minors. I would have just completed the whole thing on my profile with kids as dependants going along which I was doing before the update and other complexities here that got me to this point.

1. With due respect , please accept the fact that you are not doing all instructions right including those from Nairaland and CGI and hence, you have complicated the whole issue. CGI helpline , once you are able to pull the call through would ask you to hang on and give you the necessary update while asking questions about your application and your kids bio data.

2. CGI staffs cannot lie about sending emails or attending to your issue. Find a family member with more computer operational knowledge to guide you. You are still going to start from calling the CGI helpline.

1. Yes i stated that your kids does not need their separate CGI profiles as minors but you have already filled the profiles for them before you posted your question on Nairaland. Nevertheless, those who told you to open CGI profile for your kids did not meant to mislead you they gave you the information they knew.

2. But you are ignoring all opinions here . My last advice to you is to attend your own interview and submit your kids application on the day of your interview. If the consular want to see your kids or want you to do otherwise he or she will tell you or at worst give you 221g to come back period.

3. Dont worry about the new system coming go and attend your interview . Everyone with CGI profile would be automatically updated or be able to login with your username and password.

Hey 🤠

1. @Debbieeeeeeee has given you the best answer. You have to fill a new DS 1-60 in order to align with your new travel itinerary and upload a recent passport photo. After that go back to your cgi and update the DS-160 after which you must print out another VISA appointment letter after 72 hours.

2. Login back to your cgi and click on update profile look out for where your old DS-160 number was written and clears it off and type your new DS-160 confirmation number in the space then stroll downward towards right hand and click save.

3. Login to your cgi after 3 days and click on Appointment which will give you the option to print out another VISA appointment letter. The new letter will contain your new DS-160 confirmation number.

You will attend your VISA interview with the new Ds-160 confirmation, new appointment letter and your new passport.

2. You can take both new and old passport along on your interview day but it's not necessary except if you want to go and show the consular the visas in your old passport. All new travel passport usually carries the old travel passport number so its a continuation.

1. Yes it is advisable to invite both parents together . They are husband and wife and the consular himself or herself have parents and have been trained to understand that some husband and wife till the very old age are like siamese twins as a result of deep love.

2. If your mother-inlaw applies alone , the consular might thinks she is coming for au pair or nanny. If your father-inlaw applies alone, the consular might thinks he is coming for medical. Nonetheless, this does not mean that they cannot be successful with individual application. Yes, i will support both of them to apply together but your husband must proof financial ability beyond reasonable doubts.

3. They are adults so they need individual DS-160. Fill two separate DS-160 for them and In each DS-160 form, they should mention one another as travel companion respectively.

4. Once you have two DS-160 confirmations. Go to CGI and create profile For one of them (naturally the father) with his email address used in his DS-160 and proceed to schedule appointment.

5. On step 6, you will see : “Add by Name” or "Add Existing Applicant" if you have a group/family member (including a child) who needs to apply for a visa with you. Click Add by Name and add the mother's details (DS-160 confirmation number, name, passport number etc information).

6. Once that is done you will see that the mother is added to the appointment and the next step should display calculation of visa fee application for two people.

Good afternoon All. Please I'll appreciate a prompt response.

I applied late 2022 and got my visa appointment date for this July. Been that some personal information has changed, I had to retrieve and refilled my DS160 form, printed out the confirmation page, and as well clicked on update profile on my appointment page to add the new DS 160 number.

My problem now is how to print a new appointment slip bearing the new DS 160 number, cos the old one I printed in 2022 has my old DS 160 number.
It's over 3 days since I updated the profile and not seeing any link to print the new appointment slip. My scheduled date is in 2 days time.

Yes, your children need separate profiles as said by the call center. I can 💯 confirm this.
There is something you are not doing right. Like someone suggested hand this over to someone that can do this more efficiently. Just stay there with the person while it is sorted out.

I’m to attend a conference in New York on the 17th of October. I work with a real estate and Agro company. The company is funding the trip as the conference is quite important for the agro segment they are venturing into next years.

The company has given me a letter of sponsorship also, I have reprinted my letter of appointment with the company. What other doc do I need? Meanwhile, I have gotten the invitation letter from the conference organizers.

Also, I have been advised by the conference organizers not to not make arrangements for accommodation until visa approval because they won’t take responsibility for any loss. Meanwhile, I was asked to fill accommodation details in the form DS 160 form. I don’t know how to go about this.

for accommodation, go to booking.com and book accommodation in the city of the conference, while booking, make sure you read the fingerprint and select an accommodation with free cancellation option.

the Americans are notorious for not attaching much importance to documents.....so no need worrying yourself much, go with all the docs u think u need....chances are high they wudnt be interested in any of them

They just want to know your purpose of traveling, monthly salary to see if you worth traveling and will come back and travel history.
