Tree planting should be taken seriously in estates like this. The pavement at the center of the road should have palm trees spaced evenly with shorter shrubs to compliment everything. Beverly hills should give you an idea.

The problem is the local mindset of some of the people running things in the state (and other states to be fair)! And they have this ’i know what i’m doing’ attitude that brooks no opposition, correction or helpful suggestions! I see a few things that could be done better, but i’m now constrained from highlighting them either because i feel no one in gov’t gives a fck, or because the usual suspects would accuse me of hating, not minding my own business or being a meddlesome interloper! shocked

If the so called Anambra political elite cannot provide well planned and well kept GRAs for themselves....i wonder what they will do for the ordinary middle class business men living at Onitsha GRA ,Trans nkissi , Akpaka etc...........I find that the Anambra business elite tend to be slightly more exposed to best practices than our so called civilservants. There is a need to expose our civil servants to higher standards.........Take them to Abuja or even Uyo to see how town planning is done from conception to execution!

There seems to be a dearth of development news from Anambra in the last two or three months! Nothing seems to be happening from the state gov’ts end…..that is besides constructing some roads! Any news on the sky rail we were told a few months ago was in the pipeline? Any news on the planned 5-star hotel? Any plans for the airport? What’s investments by the state gov’t like in the states oil and gas sector? What plans are on ground for the power sector in the state with a view to achieving constant/reliable power supply to targeted industrial zones or cities like we have with Aba? Is the states IGR receipts improving from what Soludo met when newly sworn in? Any plans to tackle and improve on the states environmental situation: road sweeping; homes and businesses refuse collection; tree planting and greenery; house painting; etc? Any plans to galvanise diaspora funds for investments in critical areas of the states economy, education and health? By now, i was expecting to see much more by way of economic activity and implementing of the states economic blueprint!

Dearth of funds seems to be slowing things down ! The Anambra state government has to devise better method of collecting sales tax and property tax! That is why I dislike the way the so called Nigerian federation is run..........las las na scam! States should collect and keep their vat and sales tax.........including petrol tax! Since our people hide from income tax...let us collect sales and petrol tax.....!

One reason that I advocated for the scrapping of state ministry of works was because they neither patched the roads, streets or even small gutters. Every small repair on any street or gutter had to be a big contract to construction companies and at huge cost to the state . So the question about what the hundreds of salaried workers in the state ministry of works did was always a recurring anti-corruption question.

The state ministry of works will watch a tiny pothole develop and will not patch it until the entire road collapses and the state is compelled to award a total reconstruction to a construction company! So what is their work if they cannot even patch a very small pothole?

I’m so glad to see the state ministry of works patching something. No matter how small. At least it justifies the huge salaries budgeted every year for workers emoluments in the state ministry of works.

A hallmark of any great, people-oriented government is its willingness to listen to the concerns of its citizens and take action. I am incredibly proud of our Commissioner of Works for inviting BVI Channel 1 to explain the ongoing efforts to maintain roads in Onitsha and other cities. This proactive approach aims to prevent the total collapse of our roads, which would require billions of naira for complete reconstruction.

In the past, Anambra had some of the most unreachable governors, who made it nearly impossible to contact them via email or phone. This led to numerous disastrous outcomes, including the collapse of the state's road infrastructure. Sanitation was nonexistent, and lawlessness prevailed, with some individuals even blocking streets and building houses at the end, preventing connectivity.

May God grant Governor Soludo the wisdom to continue correcting the historical wrongs that eroded public faith in Anambra State. While we build new roads annually, it is crucial to prevent the total collapse of our existing roads each rainy season by promptly repairing and patching potholes. By reviving the maintenance culture of the past, we can ensure that our roads remain in good condition without breaking the bank. This approach will preserve our achievements and build a foundation for future progress.

I just watched a video about the Anambra state health insurance scheme and I want to know if anyone here has registered for it. I watched the video on Channels TV and was very impressed by what I saw. Registered members of the insurance scheme were paying 10% of their actual hospital bills at the state hospitals. They also said about 212 thousand residents of Anambra have registered so far and get to pay just 10% of their bills when they get admitted in state hospitals. A woman who just gave birth was interviewed and she confirmed that she paid only 10% of her bill.
From the look of things, once I get comfortable with my remote job, I will consider relocating to this Anambra state. At least from my research, rent in Onitsha is cheaper than rent in Lagos. Imagine getting to enjoy such health benefits.

ETITI STATE PASSES SECOND READING.

EVERYBODY HAVE REMAINED MUTE.

ORLU STATE IS EVEN MORE REASONABLE THAN THIS ETITI STATE.

THEY AT LEAST HAVE GAS AND VIABLE.

OUR REPS REALLY SHOULD HAVE RAISED OBJECTION, IF YOU TRUILY UNDERSTAND YOUR POLITICS.

ORLU AGITATION IS NOT GOING AWAY, IT IS OLD AND THAT MEANS, PARTS OF ANAMBRA WILL FURTHER BE SHAVED OFF.

THIS IS Y WE SHOULD HAVE PUSHED FOR ANIOMA STATE TO BE NO 6TH .

THEY ARE FURTHER AWAY FROM THE SEA AND IT TAKES HOURS TO GO FROM ASABA TO WARRIII.

Profering solution to make nigeria work as a typical igbo man since 1914. Maybe by 2114, igbo man will realize that other nigerians don't share same aim other than who is rulling who.

READ THIS BY NED NWOKO AND LET ME KNOW WHAT U THINK?

According to him, the creation of the Anioma state would be in the position to increase the population of the Ndigbos, increase the land mass of the people as well as increase the resource base of the people of Ndigbo.

WHO DID THIS TO US, WHEN WE FINALLY SEE A LITTLE PROGESS DUE TO IPOB AND NNAMDI KANU PRESSURE,THE DEMONS AMONGST US WILL COME OUT TO SPOIL EVERYTHING.

WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DOING IS LOBBYING FOR IGBANKE(IGBO AKIRI) IN EDO TO BE ADDED TO ANIOMA.

WE WOULD HAVE FINALLY GOTTEN SOME OF OUR TERRITORY THAT THEY TOOK BACK.

A LITTLE SUCCESS RECORDED AFTER SO MANY LIVES LOST BUT NO, SOME AMBITIOUS FELLOW ARE LOOKING FOR ETITI STATE TO LOOT STATE ALLOCATION AND ANSWER SENATORS/GOVERNORS.

WE NEED TO GO DEEPER AS A PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALOT.

WE HAVE MASSIVE LAND STILL IN BENUE AND SOME IN KOGI TO WORRY ABOUT.

You should embrace violent & fight war or dance to their tune. SE leaders should stop playing these game with them in their own field & with their own tune and show them readiness of going the way of 1967 if there is a need for it. This will aid them in putting Nigeria in a state of having second thougth before ditching out policies that are marginalizing SE the more or go mute and watch them play you like ping-pong cause there's no need running mouth like a woman.

There will be more allocation to south East

Anioma state won't offer that directly but indirectly though

Be reasonable

I'M EXPECTING A MEETING BETWEEN SE STAKE-HOLDERS AND NED NWOKO AT SOME POINT TO DISCUSS THE NITTY GRITTY.

WE NEED THAT ANIOMA OIL AND GAS ALLOCATIONS IN SE ZONE.

ETITI WILL BE A DRAIN AND BACKWARD STATE BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE RESOURCES, IT WILL DEPEND ON FEDERAL HANDOUT. THAT IS A TROJAN HORSE. WHAT IF THEY DECIDE TO SCRAP STATES THAT ARE NOT VIABLE? ETITI WILL BE WHAT EBONYI IS BEFOR UMAHI. AT LEAST EBONYI HAVE SOME VITAL RESOURCES.

ANIOMA REMIANS THE BEST OPTION.

You're not informed.
Bigger allocation to SE?

Nwanne you are jonsing, if you think the allocation of anioma will reach any present SE state

The allocation will 100 percent go to anioma state.

The old 5 SE states will get nothing

If another state is created from the present 5 SE states, it will get more federal allocation and boost its development.

Moreover both anioma state and any new state to SE is a huge boost. I will go for the two regardless.

Anioma state will give SE politics a huge lift and relevance.
