Is this what they call stagflation? Or even worse?

It's possible that this is the collapse that we've been waiting for.

The following have made fast food restaurants business challenging and unprofitable
- Cost of diesel
- Cost of procurement (raw materials; a bag of rice is over 85k. A kilo of turkey is 7k, Sharwa that used to be 200 back in the day (2020) is N800 for one piece, Titus & Kote is damn expensive, Beans na big man food, I don't want to mention Garri, noddles have left the WhatsApp group)
- PHCN estimated billing
- State Internal Revenue Service
- Federal internal Revenue Service
- State Environment Protection Agency
- State Advertising Agency
- Consumption tax (depending on the state)

How do you think they would break even in 6 months?

Funny enough people come in to just buy a bottle of water and wait endlessly taking AC into their body because they have trekked a long distance (whereas I am burning fuel😭)

Unfortunately, the inevitable would eventually happen, the business closes down and people are out of jobs.

The place wey I dey go eat before suddenly close,,I surprisingly see the woman for my area...she say no money to continue.i just weak..
beans is now 500 naira per cup. If she manages to buy much of it's quantity at that rate, cook and increase price, most people won't buy it, hence she'll be at loss

I noticed it where I do eat sometimes. The place was literally empty. Last time I was there I told the woman to consider reducing her standard plate of food so as to attract more customers. She was just quiet and I really felt for her. Cos it's not really her fault.

Even chicken republic that use to sell their refuel from N1,500 have all increased their prices due to inflation. the last refuel I bought at the chicken republic in MM2 was N2,700.

That's why everyone is cooking at home these days. With 10k (or even less) you can make an average soup or stew that would last days or even weeks.

On Sunday I made stew with 8k. Bought 2 kote fishes for about N4,400 and 2 half derica size tomato paste. That stew should take me till next week. And believe me, it's much more economical than spending about 4k on just one meal.
you still dey put fish for stew for This economy?
You be big man ooo.
Last stew I used 5k and it could only last me 3 days, no fresh tomato but paste only and kpomo replaced fish.

I was at a restaurant yesterday for a fast one but noticed I was the only customer available at that point. The restaurant is situated on a very busy Road.

The generator was put on for me for close to 2 hours.

Same story for most of the restaurants I've been to.

How're they surviving and what's your experience like?. Could it be my location alone?
..it's the high costs of fuel disel that caused it... which cause the purchasing power of nigerians to be low which makes patronage of this fast food to be low and causes the high costs of foodstuffs and food sold in the fast food which nigerians cannot afford to buy

They reduce quantity and increase price.

The first step is to cut down the salaries of the leaders.. Seize and sell off their excess cars and houses.. And investigate the corrupt ones ,take the looted money from them . Then use this money to invest into agriculture and manufacturing industries.. Things go start turn around.. But the above can never happen, because the nation treasury is kill and divide among them at the top.. I heard they are still paying subsidy.. But Apc will never say the truth..

They supposed even appoint u for very sensitive and key position make u teach them. But they nor like ideas or knowledge.

Awon na statistics we go chop?

It depends on the location, I guess.

And also these days, restaurants increase price and reduce quantity.

I was at Yellow Chilli restaurant, VI a week ago and the place was FULL.

I heard of a woman crying in the market here in Ekiti.
The money she brought to the market was not enough for the new prices.

Many taxi drivers are selling their cars to buy okada
Many people are closing down shops.

The strategy is hungry people don't protest! Keep them starved! The people at the top must remain at the top by trampling on those below! May all the evil Leaders face the wrath of the gods of the land soon.
