I think the best way to address this food scarcity is to address the issue of insecurity in food baskets of the country. Farmers cannot go to their farms in Many northern states because of kidnapping by bandits.

I am suggesting that federal govt should grant amnesty to these bandits. These bandits are no longer Boko Haram which is faith based rather they are driven into banditry for economic reason - money. Like Yaradua did amnesty to Niger Delta youths, they stopped. Let Tinubu does the same to bandits by paying them monthly stipends and make them to surrender arms and criminal activities and embrace peace.
I wanted to engage you fiercely based on the despicable postulations u submitted which is at variance with someone with sound and objective reasoning but I had to stop when I validated my claim of u in terms of my follow up of ur write up to the last paragraph ....."let tunubu does thesame"..........see if u keep granting amnesty to idiots more idiots will come up.....pls reason with sense .... What are the bandits fighting for Y don't u suggest govt be more decisive in taking the bandits out and stop playing cuz is obvious .........creat stringent arm laws against banditry and arms ...then motivate the service arms after that get real modern weapon and go full war on the bandits ......further more proscribe the bandits .......oga who are the bandits ...who brought them. What economic hardship is pushing them ? Bandits get money pass u in case.....so pls next time access ur recommendation before submission........note I no insult u o but if u come back without understanding my point with insult ....then I go tell u how them take born u

Amnesty to criminals.
If Ghana can stopped insurgency and open grazing why not Nigeria.
Bukina Faso military junta bought tractors for large scale farming and refused buying SUVs but Ndume & Co has been collecting SUVs since 1999.
It's clear we have moved from frying pan to fire.
OH GOD, DELIVER US FROM THIS FIRE LIKE YOU DID FOR SHEDRACH, MESHACH AND ABEDNEGO IN JESUS NAME

They've caged Tinubu like the dullard he's always been inside aso rock

I hope all is well with him

Senator Ali Ndume is known as a falsehood alarmist who hasn't done anything reasonable for his senatorial district in Southern Borno because how can he said that Mr President has been caged as if he doesn't read daily newspapers headlines and besides, Remi Tinubu is so much alive to tell the president the bitter truth about the situation of things in the country
Re: Tinubu Caged Inside Presidential Villa, Says Ndume by dozymars(m): 5:44am
Politicians trying to manipulate the people.
He is saying this so that Nigerians will pass the blame to the imaginary cabals.
This is same game they played during Buhari tenure.

There are no cabal, the man at the top is responsible for the suffering of Nigerians.

Big ups to Tinubu for holding it down in the Presidential Villa, nothing can stop his hustle!

The truth of the matter is, Ndume has been bitter about Tinubu since the moving of some depts at CBN back to Lagos which affected Ndume's Daughter. And Tinubu has not given him audience since then.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should read and interpret the "silence in the room".

PBAT suffers a trust deficit in the south east, a growing dissent amongst the core Northern elite, a gradual frustrated support base in his erstwhile stronghold of the south west ravaged with surging food & headline inflation and a resenting North Central who are being decimated by ethno-religious sentiments especially the invasion by terrorist herdsmen.

If a public opinion is surveyed today 11th July, 2024 on the rating of PBAT, he will not boast of a 20% rating amongst Nigerians.

Since PBAT assumed power on 29th May, 2023 there has been no tangible achievement of his government after almost 400 days in power. The indices & optics are bad.

The ball is in your court PBAT. The needle has to move fast.

If my suggestion is foolish one, What do you think thatgovt can do to make farmers to go back to their farms.

Remember politicians are feeding on people common funds alone which created this banditry out of societal evil. To address it must be uprooted as youth restiveness in Niger Delta has stopped
You failed to understand the different mindset of a criminal northerner vs a criminal southerner.

Besides, there's been this conspiracy that the bandits targeting farmers were being sponsored by whoever to kill off or dissuade organic farming.

After destroying their farms, those lucky to be alive are given grains by the government's agencies sponsored by these fifth columnist to resume planting. These seeds and seedlings are genetically modified and known to be dangerous to health.

Most western countries have banned the cultivation of these GMO foods but Bill Gates and his company Mosanto have found a fertile ground in Nigeria due to the corrupt nature of our government officials.

This rumor has gained momentum on social media in recent times and there can be no smoke without fire.

If majority of these bandits were mecernary, I'm afraid your suggestions would not be accepted by them.

For starters, the large expanse of ungovernable areas in the north makes it a difficult terrain to police effectively.

Two, I can't believe that in the over twenty years of this acute insecurity in the north, no Sabo in the military rank was ever fished out.

Three,, no sponsors have ever been duly identified and prosecuted.

Four, we have been told how the military is benefiting from the conflict and would never want it to end, till date no corrupt military personnel have been fished out and prosecuted.

Without all these, the effective policing you speak about will never happen. But amenesty in whatever guise is not an option too. We are doomed.

If bandit are been paid to embrace peace, don't you think that this act will motivate other groups as well, they will also want to get paid , thereby causing mayhem till they are heard.... Then the cycle continues

Rubbish and Nonsense talk .
Don't rewrite history for us!
-What was PDP achievements, for 16 years, but pure sharing of Humongous NBILLIONS,both in Naira and Dollars to Members ! Is that the way to move Nigeria forward - ?
-Which Infrastructures did they put in Place, name them, let us know - for 16 year?
-If GEJ is a leader with ball, including Sambo ,his VP,would the Northern Political elites Leaders - have courage to rubbish him?
-In the Eastern Nigeria and their relics, that believes so much in PDP what was their achievements and may be we should ask Senators - Odua,Ekeremadu, etc, and most of the governors and the Budgets for 16- years - both in the States and Federal - that Mrs Okonji-Iweala ( who was a saving grace to GEJ govt at that time ) was warning - on why the govt had to be saving Money against hard times but the Governors were totally against her, saying they should share- and were even borrowing for Salaries.
For Ndume,he has nothing to Contribute but is just fighting for position and everyone, thinking that is the way to keep his area safe!
Nonsensical People Everywhere.
Very Shameful.
