frozen70:You are very biased! How did u conclude the bold without also saying the women could be wrong? See how u paint the women in this case perfect? Do u know if it is the sister that is fueling the whole thing? Don't we have bad mothers & sisters too? How do u just conclude op is the problem? Do u think if the woman is truly a good person, she will sell that property? The manner in which they sold the property bespeaks the mother & sister aren't saints. Stop viewing issues from a single perspective because u are trying to support ur gender. Seems u don't know some women can kill their spouse for property. 1 Like |

ejimatic:Seems like guys forget too soon that some of those family houses are single handedly built by the wife but nobody hears pim. Some of the houses you claim are built by your mothers. Some were jointly built. In fact, as long as they remain married when such happened, it's a joint effort. For a mum and her daughter to sell the house, tge son is no good. Who knows what else he has squandered. They just beat him in his own game this time around. You guys should have shame a bit. See entitlement mentality. 4 Likes |

jayce232:It is known in Nigeria that bad sons end up selling the inheritance leaving the mum and daughters with nothing. Shoukd we site cases? He should tell us how many he sold. There may be his siblings who are still schooling. How will mum fund their school fees or set them up? Sometimes it's good to add one on one together. Go back to the original post and read again but with deep understanding. He never come back to refute allegations sone made against him. He never come to paint his mum and sis bad. Guys that have killed their fathers cos of this same inheritance countless times. 2 Likes |

Sonnobax15:There was a very wealthy man in my community back then, he got ill & right from his sick bed, his wives & children started debating how to share his properties, immediately he got better, he sold everything. I think he left only the house he was living then. 2 Likes |

descarado:Madam it is a two way thing! Not everybody has that time to be arguing on a public forum! Did u see the op coming back to quote those supporting him either? The person I quoted was biased. Since we have sons selling their father's properties, we also have mothers killing their spouse because of properties. It is wrong for anyone to just conclude the op is the bad guy if that person has not been living with them. It is a divided family & anyone can be a victim. Even the op has no right to sell that house, it belongs to every first lineage of the father's generation if we are to go by tradition. The op can also be a victim, the sister or mother maybe the one fueling this whole trouble, no one can tell so long u are not living with them. Coming here to outrightly paint op a bad person because u want to support your gender is biased! 1 Like |

BluntCrazeMan: Yeah, however the % is still small, lets look at it like these, are the children not the responsibility of both parent, it doesnt matter whether the properties are co owned or not ... inheritance are for children Now i don't see why anyone should feel threatened or insecure, a responsible husband will duely appropriate for his wife and sane children will definitely take care of there mother .... besides we have see more children build houses and buy properties for there mother than a reverse |

Re: My Father's House Was Sold Without My Consent by chidiokay: 7:52am On Jul 12 |
Charleys: Agreed! but thats usually one tagged "family house" in the event there are more properties or company it is alloted to the children Like i said the wife is duely compensated, she would be placed on special renumerations and benefits plus family house she retain But it is the place of the children to carry on a Man's legacy In the case of no will, the 1st child has a leverage by tradition and by law, where the wife stands a better chance is if she is a legal wife .. these thing happened to my Friend his step mom sued him he won although she was compensated |

chidiokay: In a case where the Children are not sane, nko.?? What if some of the children had been nursing the ambition to sell off the little remaining properties and squander the returns without sharing it with the rest of their siblings, ((and they are not even planning to buy their own properties not to talk of buying for their mother)) and their mother got to know about this,, what would you think would be the case.?? ... .. . See... Whenever there are discussions going on about some real situations which some people are passing through already, please stop bringing in some perfect ideal situations to scatter the discussions,, like as if the situation had always been perfect all the while with those people in question.. If things were ideal with the OP’s circumstances in the first place, don't you think that what happened inside this thread wouldn't have happened in the first place?? Now it had happened, and you're talking about Sane Children.?? Two things are involved in the OP’s family. Either the Children (especially the OP) are not Sane.,, or the mother is not sane. Whichever way it goes,, it is not an ideal perfect situation. And the people that are commenting are assuming that either of them is not sane,, or both are not sane. 1 Like 1 Share |

BluntCrazeMan: lolzz !! except for one child, as a mother if all your kids are mean toward you and none is endear to you then you need check yourself Lets even assume all children are insane, the mother can sue them if she is a legal wife ... and the court will impose a sharing formula, i guess But i find it hard to believe children will abandon there mother, we have 9 mothers day in a year faa ... naa fathers suppose dey fear children ke |

BluntCrazeMan: I agree what i see as 6 might be 9 to you from our standing point but there is no justification for two wrongs ... even the bible said vengance is of God bro sey you wan dey follow God drag nii In my life for instance, i always try to show weytin i pass i pass am ni .. ajùlor likened to maturity Revenge is like post-sex feeling when you release finish sex feel over rated same as revenge but where you show maturity you earn respect for life ..you know what respect does to a man ego |
Re: My Father's House Was Sold Without My Consent by AbjPropertyGov: 10:17am On Jul 12 |
If your dad will the house to your Mother or Sister, then they are entitled to sell the house with or without your consent. But if the property is not will to anybody, then the buyer who bought the property will face legal battle. When buying any property from a deceased family, there is usually a Letter of Administration from the Court which the Seller must present to the buyer. If that is not done, then u have a good case, the buyer is in soup. |
