We should align with stocks of company that will benefit from this development. No wonder the vice president of dangote industries assured that they will start selling PMS by july, I see eterna oil plc etc flying so high. grin grin

From the look of things, the refinery will be supplementing for a while considering loan for crude sales schemes from buhari and tinubu dispensation has the Country's quota of crude oil available for sale down to about 200,000 barrel per day (estimate here, sources not reliable ). IOC have their own quota to supply as well. Be mindful of the 60:40 NNPC/ Joint-venture IOC sharing ratio of daily crude oil distribution.

The approach to resolve import will likely be one of the following :

a. Future Crude for loan schemes by the Government should be drastically reduced. Instead, open a similar scheme for Dang refinery equity - crude swap. (Downside: there will be huge outcry of Monopoly. )

b. Negotiate with IOC's. cost and currency of payment will be the challenge of negotiation.

c. From the look of things, for total independence, Dangote refinery will have no choice but to go into stand-alone or JV exploration in years to come here in Nigeria. In the mean time, opening a commodity trading firm is the way to go to meet the refinery needs. His bestie Otedola sure has wealth of knowledge of things not to do in that field.

d. If sanction isn't an issue, Russia sweet urals should not be overlooked by dangote trading house for deals in the short - med term till IOC negotiation is sorted out.

I agree that candle sticks can be interpreted as a barometer of many things. But it is just like a doctor using a thermometer to check if you have a fever. The thermometer indicates the presence of a fever but it doesn't say why.

Clearly for me the Dangote refinery factor caused the sharp rally in ETERNA's price in about December. It dropped off afterwards due to profit taking and the postponement of the takeoff date for the sale of PMS by the refinery. And we are now seeing a rise because the PMS sales are again imminent. Just my views.

Half year eps of N8.01 will need serious improvement to enable a N30 dividend. They did well but their price is already above reasonable limit.
Although with ote$ anything is possible

My post from 2023, I think may or april 2023.

ositadima1:

Cutix operates a factory in Nnewi and specializes in the production and sale of electrical cables.

Similar to Chams, Cutix is currently undervalued. Quick valuation estimating its fair value at 4.2 based on the last audited financials, but I don’t see it moving there soon because of low dividend payouts.

The company provides consistent dividends. It's liquidity is relatively low and you may not be able to sell/buy easily.

Towards the end of 2021, the stock price surged to 6 naira from 2 naira, but it eventually returned to its original value a few months later.

Recently, there has been a slight accumulation of the stock.

Overall, Cutix shows promise as a long-term investment, but it may take some time to yield results.

I think for banking sector recapitalization complicates analysis of short-term trends and predictions. Until it is over and done with trading in the sector will be high risk.
