The question is did the diesel you bought negatively affects the machine you use it to powered, if not, then it is good.

As for the government agency condemning Dangote Refinery's products, the management has refuted the allegation, saying the agency management are likely benefitting from the importation of petroleum products into the country, and wishes it to continue. Besides how can the products of a company that are being imported to advanced countries abroad be as bad as the agency are portraying them, does that not negate their condemnation?

There are many illegalities and corruption being committed in the Nigerian petroleum regulatory bodies, all of them need to be completely audited and overhauled by Tinubu government for sanity to reign there.
As I explained earlier, after commng from a distance without issues, I went to the station around 10.30pm, filled my tank. Left early by 4.30am and within the first 20km, injector lights started flashing along with some loss of power. Ie the diesel I bought was bad. As I said, I do not know if it was imported or local diesel, but it looked different from the normal diesel we previously buy.
Now, from my understanding the higher the sulfur content, the likely hood you suffer damage to your engines and even environment.
Read dangote's statement, he said his sulfur content is lower than the imported one, but notice he his not say that of his own. No figure! The gov official meanwhile alleged dangote own is way higher than the average in Africa. African union wants 50ppa, that man said dangote is over 500- 800.
Let dangote give us his figures tested by independent labs.
Do you know it is as low 15ppa in eg UK?
Imagine trucks, gens breaking down mysteriously. Injector nozzles cost over Β£200 a piece, you have 4-8 in trucks, gens.

Lies! This man has been lying for many years now that the same refinery had been completed and was producing. How many more of those lies are you going to want the Nigerian people to continue to believe? He lied under Buhari and he is continuing to do the same even under Tinubu. Lies can't erase previous lies! Even truth cannot do that, let alone the mountain of lies this man has piled up against the Nigerian people all this time about this refinery shenanigan. undecided

The key learning points in all the debate as per the sulphur content . Recalled SON as part of its NIS set 100 ppm for Diesel (AGO) as part 2017 standard.
However, NNPC vehemently kicked against it as at them, because enforcing the requirement will require NNPC to reconfigure/retrofit the FG owned refinery an ordous tasks to attain.

2. So what you are saying is that even the news reports which claim the following
● Dangote Refinery had shipped Jet fuel cargo to the EU, Dangote has never shipped anything out from his refinery
● Since April 8, Dangote has exported six jet fuel/kerosene cargoes, all of which have been delivered to Senegal, Togo, or Ghana.
are false?

Dangote refinery marks milestone with first Jet fuel shipment to Europe

3. Interesting!

It is cheaper yet he went all the way to the U.S for crude oll since before January if we are to follow claims that he has in fact been selling produce from the same refinery since even then? He bypassed all African countries and headed for the U.S for all that time but now you want to convince us he wants cheaper? grin

In another news Dangote is quoted as having said that his refinery is among the biggest in the world
He smiled and said β€œIt’s the biggest in the world, it’s the first of its kind.” There were other posers from colleagues. Were there times he regretted going into this and even thought of throwing in the towel? What lessons came his way while constructing this? He was at home with every question on the bus ride and during the question and answer time after the tour.
But the refinery does not even make the list at all. It is still not listed and is definitely not the largest or biggest in the world. lipsrsealed

I already read that one before now, because that one leads me to wonder how a company in Nigeria that we are told has no operational license, can do business anyways freely. It sounds like he runs a business that is allowed to operate all while ignoring the requirements of standard organizations set up by the same government which it is said to have benefited from.

But before all of that, did you read the reports that do claim that Dangote did in fact get over 1 million barrels of crude from NNPC?

2. As is, the cost fo fuel is still being subsidized. Dangote plans to sell his diesel at around Naira 1000 per liter. So, I ain't sure what you are talking about. https://www.dangote.com/again-dangote-crashes-diesel-and-aviation-fuel-prices-further-to-n940-n980-respectively/
@ that price the diesel is still cheaper. anything to reduce the suffering of Nigerians right now will suffice. If he's playing a Nigerian Government script, great, they should deal with themselves, the refinery is a game changer in the issues of fuel subsidiary hike and the chain reactions we have right. we need the refinery up and doing to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

Naira 1000 per liter is cheap? shocked shocked shocked shocked :oEven after all the cost of helping Dangote build that refinery for the Nigerian people, you all will still end up paying probably the same amount we pay here in the U.S. for the product. Yikes! 🀐🀐🀐🀐🀐

Governemnt should do the needful. You spoke that the same government supported Dangote and now the change in Government are seeing alot of scam. The Government should have revamped our existing refineries. I'd rather place more blames on the government and little on Dangote. If Government have left us with only Dangote refinery to deal with, then let it be so. when dangote diesel got to the market, the prices of diesel reduced. Counting the positives.

Have respect for numbers please.

First of 650,000 barrels is about 103 million litres of crude, when operating at full capacity. Nigeria's petroleum needs is about 66 million litres per day, so where's the lie here?

Secondly, NUPRC gives license for refineries or tank farms to operate in Nigeria, no such platform operates without licenses from this government agency and by the way the requirements are very stringent. How can you say Dangote operates without a license, that's preposterous.

You don't seem to understand why Nigeria is where it is, to give you a perspective, why has all the four government refineries not been working after being built to running capacity? Why was the pipelines to warri refinery blown by hoodlums after completing when buhari borrowed money to fix a portion of the refinery for refining? Why was Ajaokuta steel plant not completed after reaching 98% completion? Why do we keep importing crude? Who benefits from making the country fail deliberately and why do they keep at it?
