I don't know about other regions, but in my area if you try this, then you should be ready to spend again on excavation by the time dry season arrives.

Yes its not final but the land is abit soft to excavate manually except you wanna hire a machine[ whichever is cheaper].

Yes that is a good retirement plan bcs you didn’t played in your younger age.
Now you can eat what ever you like.I.e lobster, ofe owerii, Asun, Hennessy, just like Hajji mufutau and others like you are doing now.
Hard working with good plan pay ooo

My Brother, retirement is good and going great.
Working hard at the youthful age and reaping what you sowed at the old age is better than anything you can ever imagine. Especially in a country where retirement is retirement.., not going to queue on line before you get your pension money. God help us all in Nigeria o.

In my area during rainy season, just a couple of feet below the surface, and you'll hit the ground water table. If you now add more rainfall to this mix, in addition to our clay soil, erosion and land slide will virtually backfill that hole before dry season. Just saying...

So true. Today, that early hard work part is not emphasized enough. Specifically, honest hard work.

Hello Good people, please I just this quotation from my bricklayer for fencing, front fence not included because it is still a site, left fence is on ground level, right fence already has 3 levels of blocks while the back has 7 levels already .

Blocks 2300
Cement 38 bags
Sharp sand 20 tonnes
9' block for back fence 70
Labour 290,000

Is this a fair price

Block = 2300
Labour = N290,000

That is N126 per block to lay.

How much is it to lay a block in your area?

Will 2300 block complete the job?

If more blocks are needed, will the labour cost stay the same?

Answers to the above questions will determine if the labour cost is fair.

The only way to determine that quote is by providing the survey plan, or better still provide the total perimeter to be fenced, that would determine the number of blocks, from there you get the quantity of the remaining materials plus labour

I do not know how much they lay a block in the area, I will need to find out.
We may not use the whole of the 2300 blocks, it's give or take 2300.
How much do they usually lay a block in most areas please, I am in Ikorodu
Thank you

How much should I budget to completely build a 2 bedroom bungalow with 3 toilet? The roof will be flat hidden roof.

The land is secured and since it is buy and build, I want to do foundation first. I was told 1 to 1.5M should be enough for foundation because the land is flat with no obstacles.
