Oponu....
In Nigeria, the protest is as a result of bad state actors who are feeling pained that the election conducted didn't bring them to power even when some came distant third position.

There is hunger in the land. Yes it is true, but what have the individuals done about it? did hunger start today? have they gone to farm? they blame the government and i ask, define government. Are the masses not the authority? are they not the ones who sent people to represent them? What have they done to support those they sent to represent them? If they are hungry they should go to farm and not allow themselves to be used with hunger as an excuse or tool to be used by those who lost out of election to cause chaos.

The rot of over 16 years cannot be cured by just 1 and half year of Tinubu in government. Peter Obi had 8 years as governor of a state yet left Anambra as one of the worst state in terms of development and governance.

Those behind the protest are only calling for anarchy and chaos to make this administration unstable.

Even if the protest ends, untill the farmers harvest their crops, there's nothing that can be done about the hunger. Government can not farm to feed the whole nation. Most Nigerians want everything to be given to them freely without them working for it.

Minimum was increased to about N30k Abia state and Benue that i am aware of were still paying workers about N18k till date. But it is the federal government that they want to blame. Even if it is increased to 200k, federal government will pay her own workers but will the state government pay their workers? will the private sector pay? are the protesters protesting against their state government or against Tinubu? The man -Tinubu- has increased minimum wage. Ask your state governors to implement it and lets see.

Traders in the market are increasing prices in the market at will, are they protesting against those traders? but it is Tinubu that is increasing prices.
We need to be wise as a people in this country.
The call for anarchy should be resisted by all means and those supporting it should be brought to book.

For me, i am not protesting because the protest is just a call for anarchy. The government is working round the clock to make sure things work out for good.

Don't allow hatred for a particular ethnic group to cloud your sense of reasoning.

Tinubu is working!
you waste your time to write this rubbish?

Rice is not the only food we eat infact some months I don't eat rice up to 5 times, YES

Where's the centre for buy these so called 40k naira rice?

Let Mr President curb the hyper inflation, cut down on government excesses and white elephant projects, maintain a stable naira, find means to get PMS back to 300naira per litre and nobody will be able to complain much

In Nigeria of today, a family man with 200k naira monty salary can never make it life because when you deduct transport fare, food, & some house expenses it will be hard to buy clothes. Some civil servants spent nothing less than 1500naira per day on transport alone, in a month is over 30k naira. An egg cost 200naira

As much as I have never liked this Government, I totally agree with you.
If not anything, Tinubu has shown that he listens. I pray he chases all those blood-sucking advisers and praise singers around him, who were trying to politicize and ethnicize the protests.
If they had been truthful to him from the beginning, instead of blaming everything on political opponents, these policies would have been implemented long ago.
The next thing he needs to do is to reduce the price of fuel, even if its by 200naira. He would get back the love of Nigerians.

dey play...if that man was really listening he.would have removed fuel subsidy and revise all anti people policy...but instead all gathering all the eagles eating the meat of Nigerian...and for you info whether you like it or not.... your president is a power grabber.killer, murderer, druggie and baron, tout and gang lord..if you chose to still love this person and have not accepted or acknowledged Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal saviour....you should have a special place in hell fire

Las las Tinubu will borrow sense as a president. Where is the rice I want to buy op? Im in Lagos on the island, where are they selling it? Instead of him to reduce the fuel, he is busy lying on the internet.

FG is taking proactive steps to address the hunger situation, and it’s commendable.

The measures outlined show that they are listening to the people and trying to alleviate the hardships faced by many.

Let’s hope these efforts translate into real change on the ground.

It’s time for all hands to be on deck as we support initiatives aimed at feeding our citizens and ensuring food security.

We must also remember that sustained dialogue and action are key to resolving these pressing issues.

Nonsense!

Nothing meaningful up there, how does meeting with APC governors translate to meaningful measures to address the people's needs?

What did they discuss? what actions have been taken from that discussion? What's the timeline for implementation?

Not sure how all of this will fix a poor economy, skyrocketing inflation, rising unemployment rate, security issues and more...
Why are they just realising a cushion or some form of temporary mitigations only after the people have decided on a protest...?

Did I hear you say proactive?

Proactive is action you take so that a situation warranting protest does not even arise.

This is reactive measure and they will return to status quo moment the protests is suspended.

Nigerian political leaders aren’t to be trusted one bit.

Protest will hold as slated by those that will regardless. It may just not be as crowded

As I do not support the protest, Mr President, you should cut your salary and direct the national assembly members to cut their salary. You can't be living in luxury while the citizens are hungry. You brought Buhari who destroyed the economy so, you have to clean up the mess.

One of the most Important demands of Protest Organisers: new Constitution to include referendum.
Pres Tinubu keeps mum on that.
Tinubu campaigned all over the southwest for up to 13 years till 2014 for similar political Reforms.
