So, what gives her, her power of vision. Atleast, we know how Bran developed his, what about Helaena. This is why I believe her character wasn't really developed. Truly, I thought she was just talking gibberish, as a result of having to fvck her brother, birth his babies and still have her mother in law, as her mother, until episode 8 in season 2, when she told Aemond she saw what he did.

The writers didn't really give her due notice, so, I feel her character is loosely developed.

• She saw Rhaenys using her dragon to break free during the coronation.
This are S1 I can remember off the top of my head.

• She knew her son was going to be killed by Blood and cheese this season.
• Told Aemond his fate.

So I don't understand how are these not obvious to a viewer. Only those two feats in season 1 is enough to make you believe she is a seer, knowing about two big events before it happened.

A look a Bran's own story will tell you not only how he got his powers, also how he was trained to use it and his journey to getting it. That's very good character development. Same can not be said for Halaena.

Their ancestor, Daenys (I think) foresaw the destruction of Old Valyria and told her father Aenar which led to the whole family packing their belongings and sold property to leave Valyria and move to Dragonstone in Westeros. Some years later, Valyria was destroyed by the apocalyptic event along with the dragons in it.
Which effectively left the Targaryens as the only dragonlords left, along with the Velaryons as the only surviving Valyrian families.

Targaryens weren't even that important in Valyria itself and they were a smaller and low influential family with fewer dragons than the rest.
