Actually, there's nothing wrong in any race or tribe contesting an election where you reside for so long. As long as you have the required requirements to contest. However, Nigeria doesn't have a good reputation all over the world. Atimes, I ask myself that all those Nigerian winning elected positions all over the world, how did they do it? Nigerian attitudes has drastically reduced our respect all over the world. The only Nigerians succeeding easily in elective positions are mostly Natural born Nigerians or rather, Nigerians born abroad. Now in the context of Lagos state. Ibos have been winning elections in Lagos since ages and infact before most of you Ibo boys and girls on this platform were not born then. They have been holding elective positions all over the western states and nobody make a sound about that, infact, I know some Ibos that are more Yorubas than even the Yorubas cos they know the culture and also practice and respect the culture. However, this last problem of the Yorubas and the Ibos emanated mainly due to political maneuvering by both Yorubas and the Ibos. It's not even during the last election that it started, the political distraction started during Jonathan period as president and it seems it ain't going soon. The two tribes have always been in unity but things became so much bad during the last election cos of the contestants from both sides of the country. It could have been a bit well handled but the intrusion of some elders from the two tribes that ain't worth calling elders. Also, very important note here....so many uneducated youths, jobless and lacking sense of history from both regions. If you understand Nigeria history, history of Ibos and Yorubas....if you know it very well...you will not see any reason to fight yourselves.
