elyte89: That's because most African players started out playing on the streets (what we call "set" in Nigeria) as against being educated in academies. Playing "sets" means there is no way for the player to hone his skills in set pieces as they are non existent. The pitch is even too small to allow for corner kicks to begin with. It is for this reason our goalkeepers are poor at corner kicks ( and crosses generally). 6 Likes 1 Share |
