It’s not always that we should be condemning the government. When the government is right, nobody remembers but when they are wrong, nobody forgets.
Where I live at Ogba, behind Area G Police Command, Ikeja our power supply has greatly improved to the extent that for the past two months, not a single person has used generator.
It’s not that they don’t take light, but on the average, we enjoy about 20 hrs daily (Band A).
I think we must give credit where credit is due, this government have greatly improved power supply.

We have more than that. But it's no enjoyment because we pay for everything.

People who don't have light won't be online to counter this fraudulent dumbass of a minister.

From 64 Naira to 206 KWH no be joke.

Not even 20 hrs, in my area it's guaranteed 24hrs/day for at least 4 days a week. The remaining 3 days maybe 20-22 hrs a day. But we pay through our noses Sha for that service.

But this year is exceptional
It is because the Discos are poised to make more money with tarriff increase. But neither power generation nor distribution has increased. What you have is stability. Stable power supply

Power is mostly generated in Nigeria now using gas..with egbin power station the biggest capacity currently in Nigeria and they use only gas!!..
Yeah. 31% hydro, 69% gas. If that 39% is yanked off, the 69% has to be shared along to cover for the loss of 31%. That's what you're enjoying now

Interesting that Jonathan and PDP’s privatisation has gone through its teething phase to make a difference now.

Abi it is the additional 20,000 Mws promised by Buhari and APC that is responsible for the current situation

Buhari’s administration to generate 20,000mw of electricity in four years – APCPCO

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) on Sunday promised to provide Nigerians with 20,000 megawatts (mw) of electricity within the first four years it takes over governance at the federal level. It maintained that its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) will improve the nation’s power situation significantly, if elected.

The proposed 20,000mw of electricity to be generated by the party in four years time will surpass Nigeria’s present consumption rate of around 15,000mw, the party had said.

Disclosing this in a statement issued by its spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, APCPCO expressed disappointment that the federal government under President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration has only succeeded in adding 1.400mw to the national grid in four years.
