Stop observing! We do not need you anywhere near this thread. Have you seen any sane Igbo comment on your Imo thread? No..that should tell you that nobody cares nor is interested in your state because there is no real nor genuine development. If there is anybody we do not need on this thread it is the cancer called abagworo. Please leave and go and face your ordinary state. Abagworo: 5 Likes |

oneeast: There is no war. You work yourself up over nothing and it pays you no good. All these years you have been Obi's media agent and I guess you believed so much in him. Obiano is barely some months in office, so I presume that if much was actually done, little will be left for Obiano to tackle. That Obiano is being praised today for tackling crime at Upper Iweka means Obi could not do that in 8years. Peace 4 Likes |

There is no war but we do not need you on this thread. If you insist then be ready for the show-down because your Imo thread will bleed this minute. Leave our state alone! We do not need you here! We are advancing and we all know that is your frustration. Anambra's development is continuum that is why Obiano continued from where Obi stopped. Check all the projects in Anambra from roads to malls to 5 star resorts to oil/gas etc..it is all being continued from where the last administration stopped. Leave this thread alone, isn't it very clear your are not wanted? Abagworo: 6 Likes |

cjrane: You are only making assumptions or writing out of mare pressure from people around. The reason for these threads is to show the world what our States look like and what the Government is doing to bring little improvements. The issue of bringing tribalism and all that is unnecessary. We are all Igbos. |

An old picture of upper Iweka that I took last year. This area has undergone an extreme makeover. It is totally unrecognizable now. Gov. Obiano's effort aimed at encouraging landlords to repaint their houses is a step in the right direction. Anambra adigo mma hoohaa. . . 7 Likes

I think i have given up on asking people this because out of 5 people i asked they all said the same thing, i never knew that small Nnewi is more industrialized than Onitsha. Even when you google companies in Anambra State most of the coys that google vomit are located in Nnewi with good internet presence. All the people asked said Nnewi is more industrialize and even have more non Igbos as well as expatriate communities than Onitsha. To me the reason is that Nnewi people have bluecollar mentality, they are more involve in the development of their town than Onitsha people who are mostly whitecollar people that leave the development of their town to non natives while they seek office jobs in lagos, abuja ph and abroad(not a bad idea anyway, everybody must not have bluecollar mentality). If Onitsha people can come back and contribute their own quota in developemnt of the city, believe me the place will be more better than its now. FKO81: 2 Likes |

Zonacom: My friend I havw caused nothing by airing my view. Criticism is not bad but looking for bad pictures to post and make mockery of Anambra is bad. I will continue to say the truth forever. Theres nothing to show on this thread other than new Upper Iweka or either ongoing projects or people's personal houses or business. My criticism is informed on knowing what Peter Obi did in his 8 years. 3 Likes |

cjrane: Chika Unigwe is also great writer, Anambra indigen has highest numbers of NLNG awards. Chika Unigwe, has won the 2012 Nigeria Prize for Literature Award organised by Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG). Her book titled On black sisters’ street, which detailed the trans-Atlantic prostitution, was adjudged the best literature book in the 2012 edition of the award. The award was presented to Unigwe at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium and Theatre, UNN, at a public ceremony organised by the NLNG in conjunction with the university. Speaking the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Bartho Okolo, praised NLNG for hosting the event in the alma mater of the awardee. He said alumni of the university had distinguished themselves in various fields of human endeavour, citing the achievements of Prof Dora Akunyili and Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili among others. Prof Okolo, who was represented by his deputy on Academic, Prof Isaac Asuzu, said students of the institution would draw inspiration from the feat of Unigwe, urging female undergraduates to tow the footsteps of the likes of Akunyili and Unigwe to achieve greatness. The Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, who was at the event, said Unigwe’s achievement was a celebration of the change, which had started in Nigeria. He said the nation was passing through bad times because it had spent its time and resources celebrating criminality and rascality, while the real people who were supposed to be celebrated were left unsung. Obi promised to donate a centre for creative writing in his state, saying it was his belief that the centre would create and nurture future writers. He enjoined indigenes of Anambra State to strive for excellence in their endeavour. |

Nobody asked for your input on this thread. There is no need to pretend Anambra trounces Imo state in all indices of development. We have so much to show for our dear state unlike you. When I look at Imo thread I laugh because what I see each time is the same pictures of the ugly town that is being repeated all over and some brothels. If you really want to know how backward Imo state is look at the following basis for your assessment: education, health, infrastructure, job creation, industrialization etc. Your state is far below Anambra in all these, so what is your point? Like someone already said what Obi achieved in 8yrs will take all the governors of your state 100yrs to attempt. I think you should focus more on your ordinary and useless state and leave us alone. It is very clear that you are suffering from frustration and envy. We are not the same people with you people. Abagworo: 1 Like |
