An old picture of upper Iweka that I took last year. This area has undergone an extreme makeover. It is totally unrecognizable now. Gov. Obiano's effort aimed at encouraging landlords to repaint their houses is a step in the right direction.

You are right, Nnewi people where focused and committed in developing their town early but government then did carry them along, that is why the presence of industries it will be difficult to dualise their roads.

Most of those nnewi roads are marked for dualization, particularly all the roads around the ongoing mall. It is already in the new budget.

I want to see a Chinua Achebe, Christopher Okigbo,Pius Okigbo secondary, Cypprian Ekwensi,Laz Ekwueme schools, libraries, The women development center Awka should be name Dora Akunyili women development center. Chimamanda Adichie should be honored with a library named after her etc.

If you really want to know how backward Imo state is look at the following basis for your assessment: education, health, infrastructure, job creation, industrialization etc. Your state is far below Anambra in all these, so what is your point? Like someone already said what Obi achieved in 8yrs will take all the governors of your state 100yrs to attempt. I think you should focus more on your ordinary and useless state and leave us alone.
