It will take the big wigs senators in pdp of igbo extraction to defect to APC now so as to position for the senate president.

Not possible. SS and se have proven to be too primordial. The best they can get would be ministerial appointments and if they don't perform they'll be kicked out.

No! But for the ss n se we will be watching them with HDD vision because they can try to be the spoilers in the administration.

Igbo will spearhead the opposition just like Yoruba did in the GEJ government. Stop worrying about Igbo. Yoruba are true definition of hypocrisy

Bro, you need a leader like Jagaban to pull that, not all this Biafra empty chest beaters, that gives useless ultimatum.

Word on the street is that Ekwunife campaigned vigorously within the grassroots of the senatorial zone, mostly courting women.
In fact, folks are saying that she would still have won even if she was in the KOWA party.
Ngige was too busy with the presidential campaign, he forgot his own election. Honestly i am very sad about this.

SE did not vote in any APC leader, so what?

Why are some of you clowns taking panadol for another man supposed head-ache!

Which political power did SW hold in the present administration, and did they die?

What's all these hullabaloo about?

SE has held the Senate leadership severally in the past, to what end?

What did David Mark achieve for Benue with that possible in the several years he held? If he did, why did PDP lose the election in Benue?
Alot of people have suddenly turn masters in SE affairs, even when they know next to nothing about what they are talking about.

We have rejected APC totally in SE, hopefully Rochas will lose his re-election bid to PDP/APGA to complete the process.

Nice one...
We made a silly mistake. Had it been we voted Ngige , he would have been the most likely next senate president.

Now an igbo man can neither be the senate president nor speaker. Hence not represented in the first 4 citizens.

How long has Ngige been in the National Assembly? What did he achieve for Anambra, Ndigbo, or Nigeria?

We made no mistake, we were resolute and principled in our commitment! There is nothing to worry about; those who need to worry about Ndigbo is the particular some ethnic group whose stock in trade is to talk about Ndigbo! We worry or fear not!

Since north is producing the president, SW the vice president, where will the next senate president go to. Dr Chris Ngige would have been the best choice but then Ekwunife PDP frustrated him out... what do you think my people as APC must produce the next senate president. Dr Saraki stands a better chance due to the role he played in scuttling PDPs opportunity of winning the election.

Can you see how a race blindly rig themselves out of fortune! No matter how the APC would have loved to do it, the door is self-closed. Putting ALL eggs vote in one basket man-gej is the millennial foolishness, 'cos even if one of them in PDP defects to APC, that wont make it happen.

Can't we learn for once from yorubas; how they strategically shared there eggs votes? That whereever the pendulum swings would not expose them as traitors. Oh God, I am ashamed of the majority of the Easterners (I have a lot of them that canvassed, worked and voted for GMB, though).

Read below a word from a dear easterner:
Culled from Afam B. C. Nnaji (a man from the east)

Only the South West recorded a balanced election where votes returned didn't look like those from the North West, North East, South East and South South.

Same way they show more tolerance when it comes to religious issues where it is common to see a family with a Muslim father and Christian mother with the children choosing to go to church or the mosque.

My salute goes to them whether or not this particular election is a rare even

Naija, I never thought about the idea of a senator defecting to APC, but then it will be very unwise to leave such a position to someone who just want to 'come and chop'. Besides, you can't trust a senator who defected from PDP with a such a seat.

Such a position is too important to give to a defecting senator who does not prior loyalty to the majority party and who essentially would be a political prostitute. I'm sorry to say that the SE had made this bed and will have to lie on it as such.

Yes, thats what I said.....whether they like it or not they will see me on Ibo politics for next 4years.

First, my inlaws distanced from APC because according to them it was Awolowo party....only cow herders (referring to Fulani) and amala and ewedu (referring to Yoruba) people should be members.....it is below Ibo to belong in APC.

They failed to assess risks and calculate forward that in the event of a NW/SW win at the executive, the legislative will be a crucial base from which to protect SE interest.

Now we are looking to distribute power and everyone has a horse standing on the line and ready to carry the weight but guess whose horse is again positioned behind the wagon? angry Ibo people don fail me again!

When Ibo reps and senators...all PDP and in minority need help from other zones to defeat a bill, na who dem go ally with now? The cow herders or the amala eater?

Ibo suffer head version II is about to start....and its all self inflicted, courtesy of Ohanaeze!

Yoruba didn't have anyone in the seat of power for the last 4 yrs...president, vice president, senate president, deputy senate president, speaker, deputy speaker and chief justice of the federation. Did yoruba people die?

Please can you confirm that this is a second term senator as there is a ground rule not to give the position to first timers.

It was a miscalculation for the east to have voted out Ngige, i mean they ought to have gambled with him at the very least, sad.

The House of representatives should produce at least one APC member from the east, Imo i presume. whosoever becomes the speaker.
Ngige has lost out completely, he could be a minister or an ambassador.
