So sad that the former governor of Anambra state Chris Ngige did not win the senatorial seat, it woulNgige we been a simple work over... politics.
Ngige needed to have worked harder to win his election after all,he is the incumbent.
He is also responsible for the current state of APC in Anambra state because he is the pioneer of ACN that metamorphosied to APC.He could not grow the party and didn't allow any big wig to come near.Life is a gamble, sometimes you win and sometimes you loose. Its not a do or die issue after all the southwest had nothing from 1st position in Nigeria till about 6th since 2011 till date and they endured. If APC will ever do well in Anambra, then Ngige will have to loosen his grip on the party for other bigwigs to come in and support him if not He will continue to contend with a lot of opposition from young billionaires that have lots of resources to frustrate the growth of the party.

In my opinion, the next senate president should come from the southeast and specifically from IMO state. They stood with the President elect through it all.Up APC!

Unfortunately, there's no APC Senator from this region as it stands.

How can you have a VP from SW and also canvass No3 postion for someone from SW?

Na only SW waka come? cheesy

Saraka is from NC geopolitical zone... so it might go to him since no APC senator comes from SS and SE.
Please tell him incase his brains aren't working any more. Igbos will so suffer in this new government because they showed so much hatred for the general and his team.

Senate President is Saraki, period!!! Igbos can go ahead and chant MASSOB and I dare them to try it after all we all know GMB won't tolerate disgruntled miscreants. Igbos ntoooor...

[quote author=suwailad post=32224733]The senate president is "supposed" to be an Igbo Man but i dont know what my igbo brothers did to truncate their chance.
It will take the big wigs senators in pdp of igbo extraction to defect to APC now so as to position for the senate president.

Lol we are still playing party politics with the future of Nigerians for now, CHANGE comes with drastic measures to ensure equity and fairness beyond party mentality. Lets see how things unfolds come May 29th.

I would prefer George Akume to Saraki

Akume joined the APC train around 2011 while Saraki joined just last year
APC also need to solidify their hold on Benue and Akume would be key

We need to squeeeze David Mark and any remnant of PDP out of the polity

You must be an Onee!

Can you see how a race blindly rig themselves out of fortune! No matter how the APC would have loved to do it, the door is self-closed. Putting ALL eggs vote in one basket man-gej is the millennial foolishness, 'cos even one defects to APC, it cannot happen. Can't we learn for once from yorubas; how they strategically share there eggs votes? Oh God, I am ashamed.
Read below a word from a dear easterner:
Culled from Afam B. C. Nnaji (a man from the east)

Only the South West recorded a balanced election where votes returned didn't look like those from the North West, North East, South East and South South.

Same way they show more tolerance when it comes to religious issues where it is common to see a family with a Muslim father and Christian mother with the children choosing to go to church or the mosque.

My salute goes to them whether or not this particular election is a rare even

Word on the street is that Ekwunife campaigned vigorously within the grassroots of the senatorial zone, mostly courting women.
In fact, folks are saying that she would still have won even if she was in the KOWA party.

I concur. I saw her campaigns and it was obvious that she was very popular and the candidate to beat...

God bless you.

SE did not vote in any APC leader, so what?

Why are some of you clowns taking panadol for another man supposed head-ache!

Which political power did SW hold in the present administration, and did they die?

What's all these hullabaloo about?

SE has held the Senate leadership severally in the past, to what end?

What did David Mark achieve for Benue with that possible in the several years he held? If he did, why did PDP lose the election in Benue?
Alot of people have suddenly turn masters in SE affairs, even when they know next to nothing about what they are talking about.

We have rejected APC totally in SE, hopefully Rochas will lose his re-election bid to PDP/APGA to complete the process.

And because we didn't, power had to exchange hands again grin

If the N or SW is not satisfied, Nigeria is not satisfied.

forget that story brother, what played out was a complete tribal politics. Travel to anambra and see the hatred my people have for APC. Too bad for us. When you tell them the bitter truth about politics they go about castigating you that you know nothing about politics. I am an APC member in Lagos, I really pity my people. Since north is producing the president, SW the vice president, where will the next senate president go to. Dr Chris Ngige would have been the best choice but then Ekwunife PDP frustrated him out... what do you think my people as APC must produce the next senate president. Dr Saraki stands a better chance due to the role he played in scuttling PDPs opportunity of winning the election.

The presidency belongs to the North (don't care where in the north), take the senate back to Edo state to solidify our alliance with Edo APC and the SS.....we need to throw the SS a biscuit or two to shut them up.
