You can't compare that to this. Regarding that, buhari is their own(tribe and religion) while Jonathan isn't in anyway. In Omo state, Rochas is a native likewise his contestant but Rochas has proved to be worthy of the seat, jst cos he isn't in a party they like so they have turn against him. They shld know that if it turns the other way round, no one will suffer it with them cos it's a state thing

Why are people surprised at the way our Igbo people voted?

Igbo is almost the only tribe or ethnic group that has Caste System. They called some free-born and some Out-caste (Untouchable)- OSU-caste.

Igbo is almost the only tribe in Nigeria where a female child is not entitled to the inheritance of her father.

Igbo is almost the only tribe that believes it is the richest, wisest, strongest, most hardworking and most advanced, others are dirty, unwise, lazy, etc.

Igbo is the only tribe that put their reasons for failure on other parties-tribes, religious bodies, countries, ethnic groups, etc but never their own fault. They are perfect.

They will tell you Ibeto is richer than Dangote that the reason Ibeto is not recognized is because Ibeto is Igbo as if Forbes is Hausa or Yoruba. Lol

this is not peculiar to the north. Unless, you are saying the people of SE and SS did not vote for Jonathan because he's one of them. One more thing, how would you explain what happened in 2011?Jonathan contested against the same Buhari, yet he won. Nigerians voted Jonathan out, yes, religious and ethnic sentiments is an issue and cannot be wished away, but to insinuate Jonathan lost JUST because he is a "kafir" is preposterous.
