MizMyColi:Every attack on Barcanista alone is JUSTIFIED!!! How do you explain a person that prior to Feb17,2015 or there about spent his entire energy canvassing support even going extra-miles to defend 'Buharism' on NL...did you know the level of influence he had on some persons? Formerly, i used be on guest mode here, but he dragged me out due to the quality of his write ups and his doggedness...we thought he had an ideology or philosophy..we NEVER knew that he is a 'mercenary gladiator'...Mind you, before his conversion to APC last year,he was in the PDP camp...my dear, na how many times person de convert? I recall vividly, july last year, a particular thread he openned..congratulating himself and ALL progressives for their resilience in silencing most of PDP monikers in these forum..i recall succintly how he aknowledged how our effort played a great role in the removal of Ngwakwe from his position then..how he claimed we gave monikers such as descartes, tomakint, firefire, phockphockman, mogidi and some other prominent monikers that i cant recollect their identities a forced annonymous leave and there about... Please, any attack on Barca is justified...he's too self-seeking, except you too blind to notice... 3 Likes |

MizMyColi: For NL to go beyond quantity (growing number of members) to quality (astute number of members) certain level of objectivity must be maintained amongst members. Nairaland will contribute more to governance in Nigeria if we had more objective posts than subjective posts. Growing a fan base of supposed "like minds" all in a bid to vehemently oppose the other, sometimes sacrificing truth like APC and PDP goons or Yorubas and Igbos do all the time is unnecessary and smirks of "attention disorder deficit" or an extreme case of inferiority complex. If one represents a group of people or is a member of an organisation that misconstrue's ones opinion, the best approach will be to further elucidate on ones opinion as against acceptance of breach of trust and expression of overt regret soaked in an apology. I condemn completely everyone who made efforts to blackmail or ridicule extensively or beyond limits, Barcanista's change of affiliation from APC to PDP. It is human to react, however it must be done reasonably, not vexatiously and with apposite civility. 2 Likes |

MizMyColi: Most Politicians are not all that deeply mingled with the platform that gave them ticket for election having paid for their tickets rather their preoccupation lies with their personal goodwill before the people who will be willing to return them irrespective of political party. Ask Gov Tambuwal, Saraki, Dogara etal who wish to be in APC but still maintain their nPDP clique and fight for relevance in APC as a bloc. |

realborn: Well said. I personally want to be more objective than partisan, but with this new govt, that will take time and a level of foot hold. It is sad that it is what we have reduced NL to. One way or another, we all played a part. I have reduced my activity on here in a bid to remedy that. But then again, isn't that what politics in the mainstream is all about? It's merely rubbing off on us. Look at the emboldened above, if I had seen 3 or 4 posts like that, I prolly wouldn't have been where i am now. I first adopted PDP out of sentiments, and then later realized, it's where I wanna be. 2 Likes |

IsraeliAIRFORCE: Well, what you said isn't far from KB's opinion. Sad realistic truth. Today i have come to terms with the fact that politics isn't about common interests, but personal interests. It makes me wonder how well suited i am for this game, given my people oriented nature. If there is a literal heaven? Can politicians make it? I'll keep on though. If there's a will, then there is a way. |

@realborn; bros, barcanista when he first joined Nairaland was a PDP fanatic, then later joined APC, now back to PDP...do you expect such person to be taken serious?? In reality, the real notable politicians in Nigeria to me is Tinubu and David Mark..and thats how it should be...uphold the tenet of your party..if at all they dont have ideologies at all...in US or britain..Democrats have their own way of doing things, and its far parallel to that of republicans...they defend their stand on matters, good or bad...whether the party is progressing or not..they stick and try to build the party! Not what we have here in Nigeria... That's not politics, but crass unseriousness.. 1 Like |

MizMyColi: The best for you is to adopt my model. 1. No matter how irritating your critics may be, always be polite in your choice of words. 2. Avoid using unwarranted abusive/insulting words/acronyms on politicians. 3. Don't accuse anybody of a crime, the court never pronounced. 4. Avoid unprofitable threads that are less informative and unintelligent. 5. Try providing links to support your debates. 6. Give way and accept superior argument. 7. Elevate intellectual debates and be convincing till conclusive end. 8. Quit replying attention seekers. 9. Aim at deconstructing and settling aside prejudices conceived on false information and half truth. 10. Accept corrections if appropriate and learn from your mistakes. 2 Likes 1 Share |

MizMyColi: Babe, I don't think there's a need trying to talk sense into these people. Are you trying to bring home a tiger to pass for a domestic pet? We can't change them, so the best thing is for us to let them live with their embittered and hate filled lives. It's only in Nigeria that armed robbers, prostitutes, fraudstars, hoodlums, murderers, etc, will look at their president and say he's corrupt without looking back at the damages they've done to other people in the past. I was hoping that this addendum would address something else that is very important. I am not sure what the so-called comparison between Saraki and Tinubu hopes to achieve. If the aim is to demonstrate why Tinubu is somehow 'superior' to Saraki and ultimately why Saraki should answer 'yes sir' to Tinubu, then I would have to say that that is ridiculous and totally senseless. Tinubu has zero contribution to Saraki's political career, and both men are Godfathers in their respective rights. It will be idiiiotic for anyone to expect Saraki to defer to Tinubu for any reason. For what? |
