I was recently offered an admission for an undergraduate degree, even tho I have a first degree, but I am not willing to make this known to the VO. I am 28yrs of age...
tho I have travelling experience spanning over 13yrs to the UK, I want to ask what r my chances of being approved a visa...
p.s
I would be telling them I am working at my dads factory for the 12years gap in education as my father me the head supervisor of his company as he couldn't entrust it with another individual.
please what are my chances at the embassy?

So I have finally filled and submitted my DS-160 form. Available dates are from August 11, I stayed all night to find an early interview date, it paid off, my interview is on 22nd of this month. Thanks to all the info gotten on this thread, it's worth it. I have complied my mock interview, should I paste it here for review?

olandex, I also visited three times I was the one telling my folks that I should defer till fall 2016, 'cos I knew my PROBLEM, GA,TA, and RA are not exams but positions given to students(serious ones) who show intent for such, I think u were a victim of misinformation from quarters that u shouldn't have visited at the first place, Bros packaging and conviction are so very important if u ever want to enter the united states, someone told me here that if I get my visa using my cousin as my sponsor he would duff his hat for me, I knew that was my problem and I worked towards it, go and write atleast two standardised tests, know more about your field of study, ur department, ur school and the town in which it situated, contact ur department for professors willing to take u as his/her research assistant....bros GOD would definitely see u through no short cut t greatness cos it doesnt last....peace

Good day house.
My initial application for a MS program was for Spring 2015 but was denied visa. I deferred my admission till Fall 2015 and I was granted visa. However, at the mmt, arrangement never set well and I want to know if it is safe n advisable to request another deferment from the school till Spring 2016 while I stay bk in Nigeria OR I make the trip to the US ( I have funds for that), appear in person at the school then ask for deferment till the next semester. Please I need to know the risks involved, I await your helpful responses.

UG? Then you're exempted from writing the RA/TA test. Defer your admission and write the October edition of SAT.
Don't you forget to read the approved and denied visa transcripts here. RA/TA means Research & Teaching Assistanships

Yup, reschedule it is. And nope, you don't "Sign" Visa bookings - Only the Ds-160.

Ds-160 Work Experience: This one is mandatory o! Please recheck your Ds-160 profile. Its the tenth link. Its titled "Work/Education/Training". I hope you have not submitted the DS-160 yet?

Is there a way to see available dates without clicking on the reschedule appointment link?
When trying to view earlier dates using the reschedule appointment link, I got a msg that "you are approaching the maximum number of times you can visit this page, please complete your transaction this time". I just closed the page because i still couldnt find an earlier date and i dont want the system to log it that i've used my reschedule option. I learnt here that you have only one.

Broda, kindly ignore the system. The "you are approaching the maximum bla bla bla" na just initial gra gra. I got the same warning when checking for earlier dates. I think its just a security feature designed to prevent unauthorized access to the site. The idea is to check @ regular intervals..say every 3-4hours - not every minute.

And you don't have to be scared, checking for available dates does not use up your reschedule option. To reschedule, you must click on your preferred date & time slot then confirm your choice.
